Imagine a songstress that is a perfect blend between Erykah Badu and Floetry and the result is Nneka. Her newest album- No Longer at Ease is a wonderfully eclectic mix of mellow heart searching- "Mind vs. Heart" and hard hitting lyrics that address societal issues-"Focus". The genius of lyrics and beats that flow from track 1 thru the bonus track are a direct testament to those that have influenced her music- Bob Marley, Mos Def, and Lauryn Hill, to name a few.

Nneka's smooth, soulful, slightly accented voice is truly beautiful. Nneka's lyrics are a form of political commentary and their combination with funky Lenny Kravitz beats that are also faintly reminiscent of her Nigerian heritage makes her newest album, No Longer at Ease, a must have.
