These three guys really do have a barrel of talent. They perform in four languages (though I can't tell the difference between Urdu and Arabic,) and the music crosses the languages, with a hip-hop beat, and even a few children's voices. Content runs from love songs to political commentary, and though I haven't listened closely enough seems to avoid the misogyny, and race-baiting of rap. I have to admit I'm not schooled enough in hip-hop to know if it normally conforms to the hate-music conventions of rap, I hope it doesn't. "Bread and Barrels of Water," definitely doesn't.
This cd is a great energy charge, as well as being melodic and thoughtful.
