Kobo App for iPad (and website)
I use the Kobo app for my Samsung Galaxy Tab since it came preloaded. Kobo is a Canadian based company (headquartered in Toronto) and offers a 35% discount for first e-book. Currently, it has on offer a 20% off selected books until Apr. 10 with the coupon code apr8ww20. So, it's a reasonably good deal. Do take note that some books are not on tablets yet which means you can only download them into …

Kobo App for iPad (and website)
This review covers only the Kobo app for the iPad and the Kobo website, not the physical ereader.       The thumbnail recommendation for this app+website is due to how well the ereader is integrated with the website.  The motto is eReading.anywhere.anytime and that is no exaggeration.  Buy a book, begin reading it on your ereader.  Log on to the …

Targus Screen Protector with Bubble-Free Adhesive for Apple iPad AWV1216US, Clear
The Targus Screen Protector is a sturdy matte-finished plastic screen protector that cuts down on reflections and makes fingerprints less noticeable. When fingerprints do appear they are easily wiped off. Functionality isn't hampered and if anything, viewing angle and text readability seem slightly better. Some faint scratches have appeared on the protector, but at least I have peace of mind knowing …

iPad
On a recent cross-country flight with my soon-to-be two year old daughter, I discovered the true magical nature of the iPad -- its ability to keep her entertained for several hours while confined to her seat.  She spent time drawing with Adobe Ideas, reading The Cat In the Hat and watching several episodes of Yo Gabba Gabba and Dora the Explorer.        All was going …

AppShopper
The AppShopper is a great alternative to using the App Store application.  You can use all kinds of filters to search specific apps.  For example, I like searching for new apps that are free or have a price change.  You can even filter what kind of apps you are looking for from games,  productivity or entertainment - with many more to choose from.      …

I knew I wanted an Ipad - I had not idea how much I would love - or how much I would use it. What an amazing techo triumph for my favorite computer company

NinJump HD
I just love FREE games for my iPad.  The NinJump HD is another great freebie (however, don't know how long it will be free).  This game is action packed and it is not as easy as it looks.  You are a super jumping ninja jumping from side to side while climbing up between two buildings.  You must avoid flying stars, birds, enemies and obstacles.  There are plenty …

iBasket
Object of the game is to shoot as many basketballs in the hoop in a certain period of time.  Some shots are close, half court, mid air, etc.  It's not a bad game for being free.  :-)

iPad
I bought my iPad because I have an app that I'll start working on after the new operating system comes out in November.  I really had no idea that it would turn out to be my favorite computer!   I have: a few old Windows laptops and my four year old MacBookPro. For almost all of the things I need a laptop for, the iPad is as good as having the laptop and is often better kkkI …

Harbor Master HD
This is a great free iPad game that is FREE.  Terrific color, graphics and game play.  You draw lines to direct your boat to the cargo area to load up with cargo and then draw a line again to direct it to the unloading dock.  Sounds easy...but it's not!  You will have more than one boat and they are going in all kinds of directions.  Some go faster than others …

Dragon Dictation for iPad
Dragon Dictation is a free app for the iPad.  It allows you to speak and instantly and see your text on the display.  You can send the text as an email message, text message or even a word processor.  It is quite amazing and very  simple it is to use.  Messages are sent much faster since using Dragon Dictation is faster than typing.  AND IT'S FREE!!!!

Fruit Ninja HD
So as iPad owners we just love the iPad commercials.  We study them and say to ourselves "hey what is that app they are using".  Well I was determine to find the game that is featured in the IPad is Delicious commercial and I found it.  You know the one that shows two people playing a game with wild colors and fast action.  It is called Fruit Ninja HD and …

Griffin Technology PowerJolt 2.1 amp Power Charger
I own a multi car socket adapter with a USB slot that won't charge my iPad. I own the Verizon Droid car charger with USB slot that won't charge my iPad. After doing some research I found out that most USB car adapters only have an output of 1 amp, the iPad needs at least 2.0 amps to charge. The Griffin Technology PowerJolt Power Charger has 2.1 amps which is perfect to use with the iPad. It …

iPad
I'm saving my money up for this one.  I have a friend who has one and I fell in love with it.  Read books, have it read to you, and a GPS all in one.  It doesn't get any better than this.  More expensive than a Kindle, but with all its versatility it is the e-gadget to have!
reviewed Scrabble (app). August 12, 2010
Scrabble
Scrabble app. for the iPhone works great with the iPad.  I play against the computer or against my active games with friends on Facebook.  If you have internet on your iPad, it will even inform you when it's your turn when playing against your friends.       If you love word games then this is a game for you!

Waterslide app
This game is not as easy  as it looks, but it is fun to play.  You are sliding around an very long waterslide trying to collect bonus points, jumping through rings and dodging crabs and other objects that can throw you off course.  You tilt your iPad in the direction you want to move on the slide.   It is not easy tho. Free application.

I rate it a 10 but would love to give it a 9.   The only reason I would do that is because I can not defeat one of the computer opponents!  This game is so addicting.  It is a shuffle board game that you have 3 options to what game to play - 10 Pin Shuffle, 10 Pin Poker Shuffle(bowling pins)  or Shuffleboard.  It starts out so easy and by the time you get to play the expert …

iPad: The Missing Manual
I love the title of The Missing Manual for this line because it's so RIGHT. The whole line of books scales the spectrum from good to amazing. I have yet to read a single Missing Manual book that I didn't think was as advertised. This book is no exception as you will learn to get the most out of your iPad, from watching videos to buying stuff on the app and book store to everything in between!!     …
