Music is fantastic stuff. It's a form of art and language which has broken every boundary mankind ever conceived. It has the power to tap into your deepest corners of mind, heart, and soul, as escapism or powerful reminders of events. It comes in many different forms, and exists everywhere.
Local bluegrass band, Full Moon Express from South Jersey, who played during the mid seventies and into the mid nineties, recently made an appearance at the West Deptford library. They played a short set of bluegrass music in a coffee house setting to help with a traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institute celebrating roots music. The band was well received … more
jury is still out.. there's something random and refreshing about this music, which is wonderful. however it may be on that fine line of too random ; ) haven't heard the full album yet - but noticed they now have a single out on pop stations, which is interesting.

In the sea of demos I swim in daily I must say there are many times I think hope for an original act that features actual musicians and talent, may be a lost concept. This realization has been known to drive me to drink. In my efforts to intoxicate the songs playing in my head I witnessed, what I consider to be an indie miracle. Catching the final hour of a live show by the indie alternative … more

Perhaps not all kinds, but undoubtedly, you'll like either classical, pop, new age or easy listening. … more
Oh to listen to brand new perfect, well pressed vinyl. This album is an amazing pleasure to listen to on vinyl. There is a reason In Rainbows was the top selling vinyl album in 2008, it's well near perfect. Listen to the previews, download the MP3's, then go and buy this on vinyl. The sound quality and difference is remarkable. Everything is just warmer, and clearer than on … more
"In Rainbows" is Radiohead's best album since "Kid A," and their most organic recording since "OK Computer" in 1997, or maybe even since "The Bends." It's remarkably taut, losing some steam toward the end ("Faust Arp" is a dud and "Reckoner" stumbles a bit), but tightening up again with its strongest song, "Jigsaw Falling Into Place," the best breakup song in a long time. Yorke calls this his version … more
Pros: Thom Yorke is a genius, incredibly amazing lyrics and music, basically everything... Cons: ...are you kidding me?! The Bottom Line: In Rainbows is easily the best album that was released in 2007, and the best album I've bought in a long time. Radiohead is one of many bands that Ive heard mentioned numerous times over … more
