My Favorite Things (or Events!)

Being a father is one of my most joyous moment in life, and although it can be very difficult at times, the bond and the incredible feeling with my kid is worth all the hard work and sleepless nights.
As a minority living in the US, this is really a monumental event that transcends politics, especially now I have a son, I can point to this event and tell him that anything is possible.
Game Systems
I have been a gamer ever since I found out about the Galaga cabinet in my local arcade, since then I have owned almost every major systems and upgraded countless PCs, I'll probably continue playing until I am too old to lift a controller! Here is my list of favorite games!
Jin Yong
Jin Yong is perhaps one of the most influential modern Chinese novelist, his work on the Wuxia genre are pratically works of art, I read all of his novels multiple times, some of my favorite ones I probably read over 20 times each!
Star Wars
I watched all 3 movies of the original trilogy in the movie theaters, but I was too young to really "get" the movies back then. I watched again years later and have been a huge fan since.
Chinese Fake take out!
I love Chinese food, there are just so many varieties, from the Northern style noodles and buns (Bao Zi), the Sichuan style spicy dishes, Cantonese Dim Sum, to the Taiwanese dishes, I love them all!
Sci-Fi Movies
I love the Sci-Fi genre, not just movies, but also books and TVs. Sci-Fi is not just big space battles and weird aliens (although I like those too!). A great Sci-Fi movie/book can really spark your imagination and get you thinking.

I like the original Battlestar Galactica from the late 70's, and given the track records of shows being remade, I wasn't optimistic, but the new show has completely supassed my expection and leave the original show in the dust.

What did you think of this list?

I think most of the most authentic Chinese restaurants in LA area are in the San Gabriel Valley.. The restaurants in China town I went to were ok, not nearly as good as the newer ones in San Gabriel Valley..
