Get the most out of your iPhone with these 10 Essential iPhone Apps

A list of general apps to help get the most out of your iPhone. I'll have more list focused on specific areas soon.

Kindle for iPhone

If you read, this is a must have, you may not always carry a book with you but how many times have you left he house with out a phone? Exactly! With the kindle app you can take book anywhere and never miss a beat. Combine this with a new kindle and you are gonna be a happy reader.

Shazam

What's the name of this song? Ask Shazam. There are several other apps on the market, so far I have gotten the most hits using this app. When this comes in handy: Tuning into the radio midway through a set and only hearing part of a song, shopping, at a concert... Just think how much time you could have saved if you just new the song within a few seconds of hearing it.

Flight Status Live (iPhone App)

If you travel or like me have pick up and drop off responsibilities for your large soon to be Family in-law (just kidding, kind of). This is a great app to track flights real time. This app also allows you to program trips. Input your flight data before you go, check your phone for status and gate information. Time saver and stress reliever.

Fandango Movie Showtimes & Tickets (iPhone App)

Probably the best app for looking up showtimes. I have tried several other's and this one stuck around the longest. You can tell the app which theaters are your favorites, browse by movie, or search for what's nearby. I only go to the movies occasionally, but when I do I look up the movie time using the fandango app.

For some reasons Pandora app doesn't work here in Belgium :(

Thanks for directing me to this. I've been hoping that someone would create a list of practical apps! I've got four of these already, but I'll be downloading the others (don't know about the sports one though :P). Thanks! :)

Thanks for the list! I don't have an iPhone, but most of these (or equivalent) are available for my Windows Mobile. For some reason, AT&T charges non-iPhone people for Pandora so I can't get that one and I've wanted it FOREVER.

I *would*, but I'm not going to pay a monthly fee for it. AT&T makes all non-iPhone users pay!!!
