My Top Ten Current Sports Personalities

Found this an interesting exercise ... with sport, there is often so little greay area ... you either idolise or detest. However, there are admittedly times for grudging admiration! With this, I've gone as much on the enjoyment that I get from watching these great people perform.
Usain St. Leo Bolt (usainbolt) on Twitter
This man has taken a sport beset by controversy, and made it popular again almost single handed. Entertaining, breathtaking, talented, yet so evidently dedicated ... a credit to himself and all Jamaicans.
Despite his mind boggling success, he remains humble and an ambassador for his sport. As with Bolt, took his sport into a totally new era. A true role model.
Sachin Tendulkar
To live with a status approaching deity in his home country, it is amazing that this guy has now been playing internationally for close to 20 years. He is approachable, displays such humility, and remains one of the great players in the world today.
Kurt Warner
As a British fan of the NFL, it is always good to see former NFL Europe stars doing well. However, Warner gets his entry through his achievements with the Rams and more amazingly in his twilight years with the Cardinals. Most importantly, his unstinting community work led to his winning of the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award in 2008.
Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
Despite polarising opinion, Mayweather has no peer in the current fight game, in my personal opinion. His performance against Juan Manuel Marquez was testament to this, after 2 years away from the ring. He is an artist, a true pugilist in the ring sense, and a joy to watch.
