Hi Keith! I was wondering if you have heard of what's new at Lunch since the last time your were here. I think the new micro review feature (140 characters or less) is a ton of fun! Have you seen the new lists? Check out @jbeswick's list Top Ten Things I Hope Disappear in 2010. Feel free to send any questions my way!

Hey, Keith, no new reviews yet? I guess you're taking sort of a break. Oh, speaking of anime, there's a great review of "Beck" here by my bud, trashcanman. Check it out...

Hey Keith- since you are into books about religion you should check out our collection of books on religion and spirituality here. Have you read  "The Shack" ? I think its a great book!

Hi Keith, I read your profile and I was interested in the concept of Allogenes. Wikipedia was of no help to be me! So what exactly is it? I'm curious because sometimes I feel like an outsider, too, observing the world inside, so I was wondering if that Allogenes describes me as well.

Hi Debbie. Allogenes in a very general sense is that feeling of being a "stranger in a strange land," but it's even more fundamental than that. It's a very Gnostic idea that you're a stranger to this reality. In fact, there's a book in the Gnostic Nag Hammadi Library called "Allogenes." Of course, I think that's generally accompanied by a sense of forlornness, which is often seen as the first step on the path to enlightenment. ... I hope that helps! :-D

That's a much better explanation than I read on Wikipedia, thanks!

I'm glad I could help! :-)

I love how you include videos with your anime reviews. If I wanted to watch some of online (I'll take your advice on Hyakko and assume that there's no storyline — but I am interested in Toradora), do you have any suggestions of where I should go?
April 12, 2009
Hey LingEatsCake! YouTube has a fair number of episodes, though they're broken down into thirds because of the size limitations. Voshvosh.com has full episodes of Toradora!, and you can download the fansubs at Coalguys.com. Enjoy!!

Thank you! ;)

Ah yes, Jlist is such an amazing site! The merchandise they carry are so obscure that I always see something I want! haha =]

Hey! You're in Austin! Awesome! Do you go to anime cons? Will you be attending A-kon next month?
April 03, 2009
I have to admit, I'm so new to anime that I haven't gotten in to the anime cons yet. I would love to go. When and where is A-kon?
April 06, 2009
Oh! You must go to a con! A-kon is in Dallas. http://www.a-kon.com/

Hmm. I'll definitely have to bring this up with my otaku buddies. Maybe we'll see you there. :-)
