Okay, after reviewing this, I have realized that I watch entirely too much TV. To my defence, however, with a DVR, shows are only half as long as they used to be.
Only the BEST show EVER. The fact that the show was canceled means nothing. I will await its resurrection during The Rapture. What makes the show great is the fact that it expands the Terminator universe while still keeping the storyline lucid which is not an easy thing to do considering it is a time travel story.
"On the roof of the hotel, Godric tells Eric that he can no longer exist as a vampire. Eric's heart is broken, and the older vampire commands him to leave. Sookie arrives, and she promises Eric that she will stay with Godric until the end. As the sunrise nears, Sookie weeps softly next to Godric, who tells her that he is filled with joy. He warns her to stand back and as she watches, Godric disappears into white-hot radiance."
Yes, I admit it, I love Big Brother, as trashy as it is. I've been watching it since Season 3. All the lies, scheming, back stabbing, and all-out temper tantrums, what's not to love? I love it so much, I watch Big Brother After Dark for months every summer.
Nora, played brilliantly by Sally Field is the mother they all hurry to avoid. The two sisters, Sarah and Kitty argue a lot. There's Tommy is the business man who sometimes gets carried away and Kevin is sensitive and loving homo. Lastly there's Justin, an Iraq veteran who battles with addiction problems. All this equals a LOT of drama.
When you laugh at the Office, it's not because of clever jokes or puns, it's because of how ridiculously rude and wrong some of these people are, AND HOW CLOSE TO REAL-LIFE IT IS. The Office is a different kind of humor. The irony, the rudeness, the clueless employees (and management), and the documentary-like setup give this show its charm and its greatest moments.
If you're an animation fan, I don't need to tell you that Robot Chicken is the funniest $#!7. If you've somehow never seen this show on Adult Swim, there's always reruns on your DVR. If you have seen it, then you are obsessed already.
This show is only good because it combines lots of action, and special effects. The idea of putting powers like the ones the X-Men have into normal peeps who just want to have a normal life is not very original and Sylar is an awful villain. Its still on my list because I'm a nerd and because I hope it gets better soon.
The Amazing Race is a reality show where eleven teams go on a race around the world to win one million dollars. Watching some teams struggle while others soar is great fun that is made better by the comedy of some of the situations they get in. But the best part is when they fight with each other, "WHY DON'T EVER LISTEN? I TOLD YOU TO GO LEFT!"
Perhaps the biggest difficulty with a show that's essentially a soap opera is the need for new romantic story lines can lead to absurdly mismatched pairs, (for example, the Izzy/George affair). This fifth season, Izzy even did the dirty with her dead fiancé, Denny as fans screamed. At least it turned out she was only having sex with a hallucination.
You may recall the cliff hanger that had Nancy pulling a powerful trump card in what had become a life-and-death game with Esteban. He was set to kill her, having found that she ratted him out to the Feds, when she revealed to him that she was carrying his baby. Dark as this show has become, every episode still carries that can't-look-away factor.
From the start it was a great show. I've watched every episode and I think this show is really good. I think that with the success of the last season (even without Lana and Lex) shows how great this show really is. Some people have issues with the fact that some facts about the original writings of Superman are altered in this show, but to them I say, "SHUT UP, I'm trying to watch Smallville!"
The humor is insensitive, tactless, stylish, and usually actually laugh-out-loud. Furthermore, Stewart's guests are often legitimately interesting, relevant, and thought provoking. Sometimes I find Stewart is too silly, but that is often important to make it through the state of the world today. I'm glad he doesn't take it that one step too far like Colbert.
Rachel Maddow hosts this news and opinion show discussing current politics, pop culture and top stories. While the show itself is not as off-the-wall as Stewart's show, Maddow certainly gets a kick out of herself. I think that's why I love this show so much. Not only am I getting the news, but watching Maddow make herself laugh at other's expense is quite amusing. The really funny part is that I don't think she even knows she's a lesbian bitch.
Really, I started TiVoing this show years ago and it never came off. Sometimes I watch it, sometimes I delete it. Even when I have missed an episode, I already know what happened. Edie was slutty and Lynette got mad at Tom and Gabby tried to recapture her youth. Got it.
Theme song to this show: "You're welcome here in our little queer community, Whether or not you're hot or if you've got HIV, You may just find the love of your life, Your same sex husband or same sex wife, There's Dana and Kirsten, and Evan and Chuck, But all our lives just suck… Compared to Rick and Steve, Rick and Steve, Happy and gay like you wouldn't believe, Loving life and hating girls, They're the happiest gay couple in all the world."
A competitive dance reality show putting 12 of the country's best street and studio dance crews against each other. Each week, there are new challenges for the crews until the final team is left standing.
Did I mention that the show is hosted by Mario Lopez. Yum… kthxbai
"Now in its seventh season, the show profiles people who are losing the battle with their addictions, and whose friends and families feel the only remaining option is to hold an intervention. Each documentary follows the lives of these addicts, unaware that an intervention is being planned."
Many people who may review this show may say it changed their lives or something, but I just think the show is HILARIOUS! These people, I MEAN COME ON. You SNIFF keyboard cleaner for Christ's-sake. GET A JOB.
I love how this show challenges each dancer to be trained in different styles of dance. There are a lot of really great dancers but I hate watching the solos. BORING!!!. At least last year there was the season ending dance-off between Robert and Phillip. That was just fantastic!
Though the show only dealt with the separation in one special episode, the series mostly chooses to ignore the huge elephant in the room. When one of the younger kids tells her mom that dad knows how to build a tent, Kate says, "Yeah, well, he's not here," the bitterness in her voice is the only indicator that they are separated.
