So That's Who Played That Character 2.0!

Temuerra Morrison has been acting for quite some time now.  He's extremely popular in his homeland of New Zealand, where he won an award for his role in 1994's Once Were Warriors.  These days, however, he's most recognized as one of two (or perhaps one of millions) of characters.  He portrayed the bounty hunter Jango Fett in the Star Wars film Attack of the Clones and portrayed the clone troopers (primarily as their voice, but with his head added to the CGI clone bodies in some scenes where they weren't wearing helmets) in the films and in many of the games as well.

He also provided the voice of his son/clone, Boba Fett, in the revised edition of the original Star Wars trilogy.

He also portrayed Abin Sur in the Green Lantern film.

One of my favorite character actors, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa has had many prominent roles over his long career.  However, he never seems to have risen above second-tier status as far as Hollywood is concerned.  Tagawa has portrayed historical figures such as Commander Minoru Genda (a primary strategist in the attack on Pearl Harbor) in the film Pearl Harbor, as well as a number of fantasy and science fiction characters like Shang Tsung in Mortal Kombat and Zylyn in the short-lived series Space Rangers.  He can also be found in films such as Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes, The Phantom, and Elektra as well as televsion shows like Star Trek:  The Next Generation, the new Hawaii Five-0, and Walker, Texas Ranger. 

Kevin Durand is one of those actors who pops up from time to time in key roles in film and television.  He's a poor man's Karl Urban in my opinion, never really becoming "that guy" that everyone looks for in a film.  He's been in plenty of films and television shows over the years, but some of his most recent prominent roles include playing the archangel Gabriel in Legion, the Blob (Fred Dukes) in X-Men Origins:  Wolverine, and Little John in Robin Hood.

Perhaps best known for his roles in films such as Apocalypto and The New World, Raoul Trujillo has had a very successful career that includes everything from playing the vampire bartender Longshadow in True Blood  to portraying Raw, a re-imagined version of the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz, in the SyFy production Tin Man.  He has most recently appeared in Cowboys & Aliens as Black Knife.

I'm sure anyone who watched Raiders of the Lost Ark remembers the scene in which Indiana Jones squares off against a heavily muscled Nazi aircraft mechanic and barely escapes the foe when the mechanic has an errant run-in with a propeller.  A few of you might recall General Kael, the wicked leader of Bavmorda's army in Willow.  If you have a really good memory, you remember who Hephaestus was in the original Clash of the Titans.  If you've seen these films or these characters, you've seen Pat Roach.  Roach has done everything from professional wrestling to running a scrapyard, but he also managed to squeeze in a few excellent performances in small and limited roles.  Roach passed away in 2004, but his memory lives on in some of the most memorable films in movie history.

Remember "slick shoes" from The Goonies?  Or keeping with the Indiana Jones theme set in Pat Roach's entry on this list, do you remember Short Round?  Of course you do.  The young actor who portrayed Data in The Goonies and Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is none other than Jonathan Ke Quan, who would also appear in the television series Head of the Class and in a few other films and movies.  So whatever happened to him?  He went on to have a very successful career behind the camera as a stunt coordinator in films such as X-Men and as a martial artist.

Derek Mears is probably best know for taking over the role of characters made popular by other actors.  Mears is the latest in a long line of stunt men and big men to portray Jason Voorhees of Friday The 13th fame.  He also took on the role of a Predator in Predators.  He is one of the go-to guys for any role that calls for a thug, muscle, or just a mean look.  He's played everything from a milkman to to an inmate, so Derek Mears has proven that he is a very versatile actor.  He's probably the most obscure actor on this list or my previous one, but it's nice to finally put a face to the latest goalie masked murderer.

One of his early roles found him making "the best Cherry Coke in the history of the world" for Daryl Hannah in Steel Magnolias, but Kevin J. O'Connor has since cemented his place in Hollywood as a brilliant character actor who can fit in just about any role necessary.  One of his biggest roles was as Beni in The Mummy, who causes nothing but trouble for Brendan Fraser throughout the film.  He recently portrayed Dr. Mindbender in G.I.Joe:  The Rise of Cobra, and has also portrayed characters in films as varied as Color of Night and There Will Be Blood.  You can also see him portray Igor in the Hugh Jackman vehicle, Van Helsing.

While his run as Pintel in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise has made him a very popular face these days, Lee Arenberg had been getting steady work as a character actor in films and television series such as Waterworld, Star Trek:  Deep Space Nine, Nash Bridges, and Warriors of Virtue.  He even had a small role as Mike Moffit on Seinfeld.
