I had made up my mind during the 2 months or so between the announcement of the Apple iPad and its release date that I was not going to get one, or so I thought. I figured the UI would be fantastic …

Hi Michael! I was wondering if you have heard of what's new at Lunch since the last time your were here. I think the new micro review feature (140 characters or less) is a ton of fun! Have you seen the new lists? Check out @jbeswick's list Top Ten Things I Hope Disappear in 2010. There are also some cool new reviews of the Bacon of the Month Club and bacanoholic.com! Feel free to send any questions my way :)

yep, although I do that mostly on my own time. not alot of consulting options with macs. they just work and aside from networking theres not much else to do. far cry from windows and Linux. funny I always want to write more on that blog and have a billion notes for topics but i just never get around to it. that pissed off letter to slingmedia is the only one so far.......

I saw your bacon comment on @DesignDude's review, so I thought I'd shoot a couple more bacon links your way! You should check out @EeezOfSteeez's candied bacon recipe, and though this Wake 'N Bacon alarm clock doesn't have any reviews yet, I still thought you might get a kick out of it.  Maybe your screenname should have been kingofbacon :P

Cool, looking forward to hearing some tech-savvy advice. Since I'm on the market for a new phone, I was curious to hear if there are any great alternatives to the iPhone? I've heard that the Blackberry Storm is giving the iPhone a run for its money. Thoughts?

disagree, I have not been a fan of the touchscreen blackberry's they are slow and not as intuitive, If you dont want an iPhone I would highly recommend an Android based phone. something running 2.1 and you may want to hold out for something with the new snapdragon processor. Verizon will get 2 of them by end of April, Sprint gets one this summer and the Nexis One is already available for T-Mo and AT&T. Android 2.1 has definitely caught up to iPhone and is a pleasure to use.
