Here is what has played the most on my iTunes... Pretty mellow stuff for the most part, some acoustic and live boutique versions of some of my more favorite songs...
A song by Howie Day
by Howie Day - I've always liked this song, didn't know it was the most played. Probably on a lot of my various playlists.. It was in the movie, Perfect Man in 2005, a much better song than movie...
She Talks To Angels (Acoustic Piano Version)
by Black Crowes - Love this boutique acoustic piano version! On iTunes it is listed as (Acoustic Bonus Version) on the album Sho' Nuff (Box Set)
Tiny Dancer
by Elton John - Just a great song... Almost Famous really took this song to a whole new level... I know @JeffWilson loves this one!
Let's Stay Together by Al Green
by Al Green - An older beaut, made great background music for the classic Marcellus Wallace / Butch conversation in Pulp Fiction...
Bad by Luka Bloom
by Luka Bloom - picked off this folksy cover of U2's Bad from the Coffee House on Sirius radio, I enjoyed it from the first listen..
Slide (Live) by The Goo Goo Dolls
by the Goo Goo Dolls - This version is from the Live in Buffalo, which is one of the better concert dvd's out there by the way... If you're ever in the Boston area, see if you can track down Tony P, he plays at a lot of local bars, does an outstanding version of this song...
I'll Be by Edwin McCain
by Edwin McCain - Wonderful song, I've seen him sing it live a couple of times, solid! This acoustic version you can find on his Messenger album... A little trivia, Rob Thomas had Edwin play it at his wedding...
Midnight Train To Georgia
by Gladys Knight and the Pips - A classic that i never get sick of, I even tolerated the comedy version of it on a recent 30 Rock =-D
Man in the mirror
by Michael Jackson - You can find this song as #1 on my 'Favorite Michael Jackson Songs' list, http://lunch.com/t/hgs
Better Man (Live) by Pearl Jam
by Pearl Jam - This is a live version from the Madison Square Garden show, another great concert dvd...
Love Generation by Bob Sinclair
by Bob Sinclair - First heard in St Tropez, then it seemed to really take off...
One Thing by Finger Eleven
by Finger Eleven - If I recall correctly, @jrjohnson was really early on this one back in 2003ish...
Sympathy of the Devil by Rolling Stones
by Rolling Stones - A bit of a different vibe than most on the list, but has added in nicely on some various playlists...
Green Day's Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
by Greenday - on a couple of my playlists...
Chasing Cars
by Snow Patrol - Played this song a lot when it first came out...
Superman by Five For Fighting
by Five For Fighting - Played this one also a lot as well when it first came out...
How's It Going To Be
by Third Eye Bllind - I remember this song as background to Michael Jordan highlights when he was about to retire for the second time...
Walking In Memphis
by Marc Cohn - You don't here it often enough! Very worth catching Peter Wagner's piano version at the Buggy Whip on La Tijera in Westchester...
Sweet Thing by Mary J Blige
by Mary J Blige - One of only two female artists on this list I've noticed...
Your Song
by Elton John - One of my all time favorite songs.. If you make it to the Buggy Whip for #18 above, definitely have Peter Wagner play this one too.. I miss that guy!
Summer of '69 (Live)
by Bryan Adams - Great live version, it is from the album Live, Live, Live..
Clarity by John Mayer
by John Mayer - I heard a radio interview once with him where he basically said this was his favorite own song...
Feel Us Shaking (Acoustic)
by The Samples - First introduced to this song back on Semester at Sea through the University of Boulder contingent on ship, this is a cool acoustic version found on the Underwater People album...
Walk on the Ocean (Live)
by Toad the Wet Sprocket - This is a cool live version from the Arlington theater from their hometown of Santa Barbara...
Northern Sky by Nick Drake
by Nick Drake - nice for a mellow playlist, Serendipity movie lovers will know this one...

hmmm, now that brings us to all new lists, the actual playlists, i like it..:o).. i figured as a starting point, the 'most played' should be pretty representative of my more favorite songs which could hopefully inspire fellow lunchers to check out some of them on itunes and vice versa, speaking of which, are you now working on your itunes list? ;D

haha well I am actually about to re-rate (?) my songs. i'm sick of the same songs coming up over and over! yeah, most played is an awesome way to see one's faves but i have been playing mine on shuffle since i use it in the car. i'll have to figure out some way of making a list...maybe mine will be "songs i wish would play more often in shuffle mode but don't even though i gave them 5 stars!!!" :P

This list is nice. I love your Midnight Train to Georgia pick. One of my all time favs. I can here the Pips in my head... "Whenever he takes that ride, I guess she's gonna be right by his side" > "Leavin on a midnight train to Georgiuhhhhhh.... woo woo!" > "dreams don't al-ways come true... ah ah .... no ... ah ah." I'm all about waving when a car lets me in and not giving door dings. Funny, I don't recall ever giving a door ding, yet I've received tons over the years, hmmm, who are the ones that have … more
