It is all about life, not just China!

A wildlife documentary produced by BBC in cooperation with China’s State TV Station CCTV which showcases some of China’s less well-known treasures… wildlife. From the roof top of Tibet to the depth of S. China Sea, animals and creatures of all kinds are being introduced to the viewers with stunning photography & spectacular clarity.

 

What I truly liked about it is that it is not simply a documentary about China as a travel destination nor is it merely a National Geographic style of documentary. It is a combination of the best of both worlds with an added dimension, integration of city lifestyle and Chinese culture (like tea leaves cultivation and the Hakka people way of living). That is what makes this documentary such a watchable and entertaining production. There is available room for improvement which entails making the narration more dynamic and energetic with a slight twinge of humor. That would make it a perfect documentary! Perhaps BBC should have gotten David Attenborough from Planet Earth to narrate instead! That would have been a marked improvement, imho.


 

 

For those who are interested in China as a travel destination, you’ll be entertained with sights from some of the most scenic sites like Guilin, Yangshuo, Jiuzhaigou, Tibet, The Great Wall, Forbidden City, Shangri-la & Shanghai. For animal lovers, you’ll be delighted to see the famous Panda in their natural environment, the Chinese White Dolphin, a tortoise that’s over 400 years old and also some spectacular sights of an Octopus changing its skin texture! These are some truly amazing sights and animals I’ve never ever even heard of in my life! BBC also explains the migration of birds and cranes & the hidden natural reserve in Hong Kong's very own backyard. 

 

So, yes, this is not just a series of films for those who are interested in China. It is especially for those who are interested in animals and living organisms in the world!
