Jim Thompson was a very interesting man who embraced both Thai and western cultures. His house in Bangkok is a must see!

Jim Thompson is the businessman who made this venture a success even decades after he went missing in the jungle. No one knows what happened to him but we have all heard about his legend and the empire he had built. He had left Thailand a legacy. Thai silk company founded by American businessman  James Harrison Wilson "Jim" Thompson.
He helped revitalise the Thai silk and textile industry in the 50s and 60s but mysteriously disappeared while going for a walk in the Cameron Highlands (Malaysia) on Easter Sunday 1967. His missing is still a mystery til today.
