There are lots of cheap flying disks that you can buy for your dog. But if your dogs are like mine, anything that's too soft only lasts about 10 minutes before it is pulled apart in a tug game or has the edges chewed up and it no longer flies.
The Zisc® from West Paw Designs has all the benefits to keep your dog happy. It made from a proprietary soft, yet durable material, and flies through the air with speed and accuracy. Its pliable material allows your dog to pick it up from flat surfaces with ease and will not hurt or damage their soft mouth. In your backyard, at the park or on the water (it floats!)
They come in 3 vibrant colors that are easy to see from a distance. And if you're like me, having a long-lasting toy that your dogs enjoy and that floats is a good, good thing. If you'd like to read more about the Zisc, you can click on the picture to go to the website and read more.
If you're seriously training your dog for flying disk competitions and the like, this is not the disk for you. But if you're looking for a durable toy that lasts a l-o-n-g time and is safe for your dog's teeth, this is a good one to think about getting.
The Kong Flyer is made from rubber and I have been seriously impressed with how long it lasts. The first one I bought lasted for more than a year! What's impressive about this is that both of my dogs seem to think that it's not only fun to chase but makes a really great tug toy. Between them, my dogs weigh about 130 pounds, which generates a lot of pulling force. It took almost a year before the outer edge of the disk finally starts to tear away from the body.
The other nice thing about this particular disk is that it flops nicely. If you have a dog that loves to shake toys, this is a good choice. My lab loves to run around the field and just shake it.
I really recommend these! If you'd like to read more about them, you can click on the picture to go to my website and see the details.
