Our cat gets more enjoyment out of a feather, laser light, milk jug ring, or rubber band, than she would get out of a nice treat. Even a balled up napkin will get more reaction than a treat would for us. Who says that all cats come running when you rattle a bag of treats, at least that is what I have seen happen at other people's houses. We have adopted a cat and we are having trouble trying to find a cat treat that she will eat. I don't really know if this is a good thing or not. We wanted to give her a different kind of treat from time to time, so she will not get bored with them. This treat from Friskies is developed and dispersed by the Purina company and comes packed with vitamins and minerals in a small crunchy chewable treat. But, how do you get lucky enough to purchase one that you know that your cat will like. There lies the problem, you have to spend a lot of money, just to find a tasty treat that your picky cat will like. These could be the best treat in the world for your cat and be free, but if your cat does not like it, then they are worth less to us.

Thank heavens for our dogs that act like garbage disposals, they will eat everything in sight even their own feces. In my book that is not cool and is disgusting. Our dogs will eat anything again and again, and every time that we have another failure, the dogs love to see these little bags come into the house. So, if we fail at a certain treat, then at least the dogs are happy. You can find this treat at Meijer's or any grocery store or even at any pet supply store for $1.99 for a 2.1 ounce reseal able plastic bag. Friskies party mix (the Picnic crunch flavor)is a mixture of chicken, turkey, and cheddar flavors, and is produced by the Friskies Pet Products division of the Nestle Purina company in St. Louis Missouri. This should only be used as a snack and not the main source of their diet. This product is manufactured in the USA, in ST. Louis Missouri.

Ingredients
This is made from chicken meal ,brewer's rice, animal fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols a form of vitamin E), corn gluten meal, animal liver flavor, salmon, fish, malt extract, turkey by-product meal, natural and artificial flavors, phosphoric acid, dried cheese powder (cheddar cheese), calcium carbonate, dried yeast, salt, choline chloride, added colors (yellow 5 & 6, red 40,blue 2), taurine L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), citric acid, folic acid, calcium iodate, A preservative, vitamins D-3, E-A-B12 supplement, niacin supplement, riboflavin supplement, thiamine mononitrate, d-calcium pantothenate, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin K), pyridoxine hydrochloride, BHT A preservative, sodium selenite, Minerals= zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, manganese sulfate.

This also has crude protein minimum of 26.0%, crude fat a minimum of 9.0%, crude fiber maximum of 4.0%, and maximum moisture of 11%.

Description and Experience
This product is basically does not smell too bad for animals, as for humans this does not smell to bad at all. This has just a small odor and does not smell like anything out of the ordinary. But, hey, who am I to say what smells good and what doesn't. This has four types of shapes, and one is in the shape of a square with four holes in it called cracklers, then there is one the shape of a crunch twist, the next is in the shape cone called cheesy snap, the last one is in the shape of a star with a hole in the middle called star bites. All of these pieces of treats are also made of a solid color, these are dark brown and are all crunchy bites. These are hard to start with, and when you try to squeeze them, they can break up into smaller pieces when you apply pressure, these on average are also about ½" to ¾" in diameter.

Just like when you purchase a snack for your human kids, you are taking a chance when you buy a treat for your cat. Unlike a dog, where they will eat anything even dog and cat feces, cats are very finicky, and of course our cat is no different. It is hit or miss when it comes to purchasing treats for her, so far we have struck in every department. In this case I don't think that our cat realizes that these are actually treats especially made for cats, but our dogs don't care, and don't know that these are cat treats, they just gobble them up if we offer them a treat. These come in a 2.1 ounce reseal able plastic bag that can be recycled to help the environment.

Conclusion
In our case, we are stuck with some more new so called cat/dog dog treats. So, the best thing to do is to make sure that we only purchase small sample packages, 3 ounces or less(in this instance 2.1 ounces). So, we continue on our miss-adventure, to try and find which treat will make our cat go crazy when we open up the package. This time, we thought at first our cat was going to like this treat, because she sniffed and at least recognized that we set something in front of her. All of the other ones she won't even touch it. No matter, whatever the companies make the packaging or television ads look like, or the product smell like, if you have a picky cat, then you will just have keep trying to find a treat that makes them happy. These may make all other cats, in other households go crazy, but it does nothing for our cat. We can't even get our cat, to follow the treat and do tricks for a bite.

If we are lucky ,all we get from our calico a slight lifting of her head or is a weird look, as if they were saying "What am I supposed to do with that?". Our cat doesn't even eat them if we toss them into her food bowl. Even if we try to use them as a treat or training treat and try to entice her, she is a really good cat that does not scratch things and she uses the litter box the way that you would expect a cat to, but we have failed miserably. The only thing that our calico cat will do with these treats is smell them if that, we didn't even get a lick or any sort of slow acknowledgement to this treat this time, and that was it. These do still make a excellent dog treat for training our dogs. The minute that our dogs hear the bag of treats rattle, they come running to the seated position and beat the cat to the punch, and even though these don't smell like anything really special to our dogs they just love them. They still scarf a whole package these up in a matter of minutes and still look for more. With any luck we will find a treat that both our cat and dog will enjoy.
