Our pets are like our kids since all but one has left the nest. We treat them like we would like to be treated, so we try and purchase different types of food each month. This time we purchased a different type "Fit & Trim by Purina". You can purchase this at just about any grocery store across the country for the low price of $21.00 for a large bag just over 35 pounds.  It is safe enough for puppies once they are weaned off of their mother, this can be fed to them twice a day.

Guaranteed Analysis
This has 25% crude protein,7% crude fat minimum and 9% maximum, 5% maximum crude fiber, 12% maximum moisture.

Ingredients
This includes corn, meat and bone meal, soybean meal, whole grain wheat, corn germ meal, corn gluten meal, chicken, egg and chicken flavor, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols, animal digest, turkey by product, salt, calcium carbonate, choline chloride, (added colors red 40, yellow 5, blue 2), potassium chloride, (vitamins E,A, D-3, B-12,K), zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, manganese proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc proteinate, copper sulfate, copper proteinate, L-Lysine, monohydrochloride, calcium pantothenate, garlic oil, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin supplement, calcium iodate, menadione sodium bisulfate, folic acid, biotin, sodium selenite.

How much is Enough
You may not know how much that they recommend, that you should feed your pet. A lot depends on how much your pet weighs. For a toy breed that weighs 2-20 pounds you can give them ¼-1 cup, for a small breed weighing 10-20 pounds you can give 1-1 ¾ cups, for a medium breed weighing 20-50 pounds you can give them 1 ¾ - 3 ¼ cups, for a large breed weighing 50-90 pounds you can give them 3 ¼ - 4 ¾ cups, and for all breeds over 90 pounds you can feed them 4 ¾ cups and ½ a cup for every ten pounds over that amount.

Experience
They offer a lot of different types to choose from such as the original Purina Puppy Chow varieties. The Fit & Trim adult and the Active senior 7 plus. Since we have one dog over that age of 7 and two under we chose the product right down the middle to help them maintain a good fit.

Fit & Trim has green, orange, caramel, and brown semi-soft bites(but mostly dry). When we first brought this food home our dogs gorged themselves with this food and went through this bag in less than two weeks. If they could they would have chewed through the bag to get at this food. We usually put this food inside of an automatic feeder and they will eat twice a day. This helps keep them in shape and very healthy, so there is less time spent at the vets. Our dogs just loved this brand and once they tasted it, they calmed down and stopped gorging.
