Puppies are cute no-matter what they look like, but when they get into a little bit of mischief, we all tend to forget what they look like.  Just like when my Miniature Schnauzers and our German Shepherd bring us a dead bird, bunny, or even a frog. They just sit there with it laid by their food bowl as if this was their prize. This doesn't bother us as bad as them bringing something live into the house such as a mouse and they set it down right in front of us and is scurries around with a half eaten broken body dragging around leaving a trail of blood on a newly mopped floor. How can we scold them for doing this, so we have to keep giving them treats for doing things that comes naturally to them. These two ratters that take their job as killers of the backyard zone seriously,  and they have a kill zone, that is the whole yard. Greenies dog treats can be found at just about any pet supply store or any grocery store for as little as $20.00 for a large box. The individually wrapped ones will cost you just a bit more. These are made in the USA, in Franklin Tennessee.

Ingredients
The ingredients in these treats are full of vitamins, proteins, and minerals that will help your pets dental program. These also have all natural antioxidants and fibers and are low in fat. These ingredients include gelatin, wheat protein isolate, glycerin, soy protein isolate, sodium caseinate, natural poultry flavor, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, lecithin, vegetable oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols), minerals (magnesium amino acid chelate, calcium carbonate, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, manganese sulfate, calcium pantothenate, potassium iodide), vitamins (dl-alpha-tocopherols acetate [vitamin E], L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate [vitamin C], vitamin B-12 supplement, niacin supplement, vitamin A supplement, riboflavin supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, biotin, pyridoxine hydrochloride [vitamin B6], thiamin mononitrate [vitamin B1], folic acid), dehydrated tomato, apple pomace, ground flaxseed, dehydrated sweet potato, cranberry fiber, potassium sorbate (for freshness), choline chloride, taurine, carotene, and chlorophyll.

Guaranteed analysis
This is a minimum of 52% of crude protein, 5% crude fat, 1.5% crude fiber, and 15% maximum moisture. This is produced by the Nutro products division. These are approximately 1" wide x  5/8" thick x up to 4" to 6" long, these are a hunter green in color. This whole treat is hard and will be gone is seconds. There's many different products to choose from, this one is from Nutro and is in the shape of a crude brush. Each of these treats will differ in the amount of calories depending on how large of a treat that you give your pet. The jumbo ones have 270, large have 144, regular have 90, petite have 54, and the teenie weenie ones have 25 calories, and this is per treat.

Experience
We usually give only one treat per pet, and the size of your pet will depend on which one of these that you should give. These are not good for puppies under 6 months of age or for ones that are less than 5 pounds in weight. If you have a dog that is 5-15 pounds you should use the teenie ones, if your dog weighs 15-25 pounds then use the petite ones, if you pet weighs 25-50 pounds then use the regular ones, if your dog weighs 50 -100 pounds you will need to use this product which are the large ones, and if you have a dog that weighs more than 100 pounds you will  need to purchase the jumbo treats.

We have been giving these treats to our dogs at one a day, because if we left it up to them they would eat the whole package at once. This snack will stay fresh in the box that the treat comes in, but we take them out and put them inside of their treat jar for easier access. If your dogs crave snacks just like you do, then you will have to keep plenty of these or some kind of treat on hand. They will positively beg you for more, but you have to be stronger than they are and only give them one a day.

We limit our dogs to treats once a day, this way they'll still eat their regular food. Just like kids, your pets need your guidance, limit them as to how much they eat. These don't smell bad to us, but they smell great to our pets.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend this product or any of the other treats made by Nutro company. Greenies will help keep your dogs tail wagging. But, overall this is an excellent treat, your pets will do all kinds of dances to get  these. Plus, you will save money on your pets dental visits. One dental cleaning can cost you on average of 200 dollars per dog, and if you have three then this might put your wallet into shock. If you want to this is a cheaper of the two, you may think that these are a little on the expensive side but just look at the alternative.
