<![CDATA[ Nothing New Here for Pet Owners]]> I hate to give a negative review to such a well-intentioned book but I must.

There are two underlying themes to the book, which are certainly good ones. The first is that for most pet owners, putting a dog down, for whatever reason, is a hard, cruel choice that often has to be made. And the guilt that accompanies that decision can be emotionally crippling. Katz encourages one not to feel guilty over a well-informed, reasonable decision to take this action. And second, one should not feel ashamed about the grief that accompanies the death of a beloved pet. Non-pet owners may not understand how one could grieve over a dog. Who cares? I don’t.

The problem I have with the book is that I already know this. I don’t feel the book really provides a lot of good coping mechanisms for the grief after a pet dies. There simply, for me, was nothing new here.

And the afterward by Debra Katz is pure, utter, psychobabble garbage. I laughed at how ridiculous the afterward was.]]>

<![CDATA[ Good Chew Stick for Dogs]]> I tried out these treat sticks for my dog and she quite liked them. They are somewhat chewer and take longer to get through that similar chew sticks so they keep the little beast occupied a bit longer. And if the packaging can be believed, they are healthier than other chew sticks too. I will likely buy her some more of these.]]> http://www.lunch.com/lifewithdogs/reviews/product/UserReview-Zoe_Treat_Sticks-24-1791436-218148-Good_Chew_Stick_for_Dogs.html http://www.lunch.com/lifewithdogs/reviews/product/UserReview-Zoe_Treat_Sticks-24-1791436-218148-Good_Chew_Stick_for_Dogs.html Sun, 1 Jan 2012 00:25:00 +0000 <![CDATA[ Good Treat for My Pooch]]> Cloud Star has made some treats my dog really enjoys and she definitely enjoys these. They are thin and crispy and don’t seem to contain too many bad ingredients.

While I tend to try to keep dog treats healthy, my dog doesn’t get too many of them so when I find a brand she likes and doesn’t cause her stomach to get upset, as she has a sensitive stomach, I am pleased.]]>

<![CDATA[ Interesting Dog Toy But Not Hard Enough for My Pooch]]> Maybe my little ugly beast is smarter than I thought she was. She figured this toy out very fast and it isn't that challenging for her. You put the treats in and do all the things the instructions say and she goes right to it to get the treats out.

One time she couldn't get the little plastic "bone" out of the slot with her mouth or paw but she knew that is what needed to be done to get the treat.

So what does she do? She uses her nose to flip the entire thing upside down and gets all the treats at once!

Now if I just put the toy down she thinks she is gettin' some treats and starts spinning away.

While it was a bit fun at first, the fact she sees no challenges in this toy makes it hard to recommend it.]]>

<![CDATA[ Great Treat for Dogs That Like to Chew]]> My dog really loves these rawhide covered treats. She loves to chew on anything and she gets occupied trying to get the rawhide off the tasty lamb treat inside. It’s quite fun to watch and it keeps the incorrigible little beast occupied for a while, giving me a little peace and entertainment.

These appear to be made of healthy ingredients, which is a plus.

The only thing that I don’t love about these treats is the rawhide. I have a French bulldog who is prone to chocking on rawhide because she chews it up into a mushy mess and then it might get stuck in her throat.

Thus, when she is chewing these treats I have to watch to make sure she doesn’t choke on the rawhide and sometimes either take the rawhide husk away from her after she has devoured the treat inside, or let her chew on it for a while under supervision.

Otherwise, this treat works well with my dog.]]>

<![CDATA[ Don't Tell My Master That I Love Hills Prescription Diet r/d Canine Weight Loss-Low Calorie]]> Lunch.com, my name is Snickers, my master is Badbonz007. He does not know that I can type but I just want to rat him out. I am an overweight couch potato, I am a 9 year old miniature schnauzer and I weigh about 25 pounds, with a very voluptuous figure. My master just thinks that I am getting old, but I am just taking advantage of his good nature, by batting my long eyelashes at him when he looks at me. He buys me all kinds of tasty treats, and several different types that make my mouth water. I also have my mistress wrapped around my little paw, she lets me sleep right next to her and I am always taking over my masters side of the bed, by doing some fake snoring. A lot of times I snuggle right up to her back and she tucks me in and away to dream land I go.

Then all of a sudden something changed, my master took me to the Vets and that is when the treats stopped and we started going out for walks twice a day. My master even changed my food to some stuff called "r/d Hills Prescription Diet Food", from an automatic feeder, to portioning out what I get to eat every day. This made me a little grumpy and I showed my appreciation by snapping at my other four legged family members. Every time they would get a little close, I would just let them have it and would give them a rap on the behind. I have found that by doing this it works every time, my mistress would pay attention to me a little more and she would ask, if my master had fed me my evening meal. From what I could tell, this food is good for me, but I preferred the junk food taste over this peanut shell taste.

I know that if I did not eat when my master put this out for me he would get a little testy with me and he is not as nice as my mistress is. She will feel sorry for me and does not care what time that I eat my meals. My master on the other hand, has me on a tight schedule and that bugs the heck out of me. I used to be able to lie around and just eat when I wanted to, but not no more. I can feel my girlish figure coming back, but at what cost. I'll bet that the price of this food is eating away at my master's wallet. I know that some day when I get my figure back that I can start eating my junk food diet again. I tried to just sit there and stare at it the first couple of days but my master just picked up my food bowl and said "well, you will get hungry by the morning". My master also tried to put this food into a shiny new stainless steel bowl to bribe me with. I tried to hold my ground but my tummy was telling me different, so he won this round, and I began to eat when he put the food at the scheduled times.

Description and Ingredients
This food is light brown in color and has a slight pleasant odor to it. These are about ½" in diameter and will fill you up in a flash. My sensitive tongue tells me that this has theseingredients inside of this food: whole grain corn, corn gluten meal, chicken by product meal, soybean mill run, powdered cellulose, soybean meal, chicken liver flavor, dried beet pulp, lactic acid, soybean oil, caramel color, DL-Methionine, L-Lysine, potassium chloride, vitamin E supplement, choline chloride, vitamins (L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (a source of vitamin C) niacin, thiamine mononitrate, vitamin A supplement, calcium panthenate, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement, pyridozine hydrochloride, riboflavin, folic acid, vitamin D3 supplement), calcium carbonate, iodized salt, minerals (manganese sulfate, ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, copper sulfate, calcium iodate, sodium selenite), taurine, L-Carnitine, preserced with mixed tocopherols and citric acid, phosphoric acid, beta carotene, rosemary extract.

My nose also tells me that the Guaranteed Analysis of this food is: minimum 28% crude protein, minimum 6.5% crude fat, maximum 9.0% crude fat, maximum 16.0% crude fiber, maximum 11.0% moisture, maximum 7.0% ash, minimum of 0.5% calcium, minimum of 0.4% phosphorus, minimum of 400 iu/kg vitamin E, minimum 85 mg of ascorbic acid, minimum of 200 ppm carnitine. This also contains 10.4% powdered cellulose, which is a good source of fiber.

Experience
Ever since I started eating this food I have been losing about a pound every week. So far I have lost 3 pounds in three weeks. If you were to purchase the lite dog food that is sold in the regular grocery stores, they only knock the calories down 15%. But, with this dog food the calories are knocked down 40% and that it is made of crushed peanuts shells as a filler. This does not smell anything like peanuts, but is does fill me up. My figure is slowly getting back to normal, but don't tell my master. He is relentless and is still purchasing this from the Vets. I thought that since we lived to far away from the Vets that he would go back to purchasing the other junk food type dog foods. But, that was not to be. I love my master dearly but why did he wait so long to start to worry about my figure. This food has given a lot more energy, but don't tell my master that I really like this food. Every now and again I will just sit there and have to be invited to eat my meal, just to let my master think that I don't like this food.

This food is clinically proven to improve the quality of my life but I do not want my master to stop treating me with kid gloves. May be there is something to this weight loss and low calorie food. The nutrition will reduce my body fat by 22% in a couple of months. This has a higher L-Carnitine to help me burn more fat and maintain my muscle. This also helps me with the antioxidants for my immune system, and with all of my growling stomach this food fills me up a lot quicker.

Conclusion
This has a 100% money back guarantee, but my master will never ever be able to use it because I keep eating it all up. Also, this is available only through your Vet. You have to have a prescription to purchase. This also comes in cans just in case you like moist dog food. Now that I am starting to get my figure back I do notice that the neighborhood dogs do look at me with a smile as I walk down the street. They bark an me telling me to come over and play. My master thinks that I love going out for a walk in 100° weather, but what I really like is the air conditioned house and my four paws stretched up in the air. While relaxing and chewing on a rawhide bone. But, all of that has gone to the way side with the purchase of this new diet dog food from "Hills". For the most part this tastes great and I am grateful for the attention that my master gives me. But, I kind of miss the good ole days of sniffing butts and eating nasty tasting turds out in the yard. But, what the heck at least I still have air conditioning and my comfy bed to sleep in, and my master has not figured how to get my pried away from my mistresses back. I love this food and give it a five star for taste and the ability to help me lose weight. ]]>

<![CDATA[ Our Kid Just Love This Kyjen Fleecy Clean Ball Toy for Dogs]]>
Description
This toys are only 4-1/4" to 4-1/2" in diameter and have ½" thick soft non-toxic material attached all around the whole exterior, and only weigh a few ounces. All of these types of toys are made with different bright basic colors and basically one shape, and that is round. This will help your pet to not make a mess with the ones that have stuffing in them. The nice thing about these toys is that they does not requires any batteries to operate properly, only an active imagination by your pets. These toys do not come in any cellophane or box, just a tag that has to be removed before you give it to your pet. I also thought that dogs were color blind (the jury is still out on that subject), so I think that the only reason that they make them in different colors is for the owners, so that they will purchase more of these cute toys. We have found that this also has some benefits for the smaller pets, and that is this will massage the gums, because it is made of cloth. Plus, it acts like gentle tooth cleaning and will slightly clean your pets teeth. This is also suppose to reduce plaque build-up, but I do not have any proof that this helps in that department.

Experience
We have used these for several years and it has always done an excellent job entertaining our pets. This has given our children (Pets) several hours of enjoyment and excitement when they are finally finished they left them lying wet and yucky and your do not want to even touch them. You do not have to worry because thse toys are completely machine washable. While they were playing, they would come running to us to show how proud that they were, because they were able to succeed in digging this toy out of the hole that they last left them in. Once they were done they would go back to the spot where they were playing with this, and dump the basket all over the floor and start playing over and over again. Each time they would finish, they would come running to show us how proud that they were of themselves. Just to make it look like we really cared what they did their new toy.

Because this toy is so light, your pet can easily toss it into the air and catch it. This may be a little confusing, but, our children (Pets) being so small, really did not understand that these are supposed to be put away after each use, all they knew was that the was kind of still sticky from the last time that they played with it. They enjoyed this immensely, they were just happy that they were able to make us smile, these toys usually never fall apart and get your pets in danger of choking. Our pets are older but still play like little children, they have enjoyed hours of fun with these toys. We do have older pets that can get a little bored with this toy, but they continue to still play with it just because it does it occupies their time when they get bored.

I have found the older that your child is(our Pets), they will get bored easily and they will soon stop playing earlier than the younger pets do. We do have a large pet that thinks that these are made to tear apart and leave the little material pieces around on the floor for us to pick up. The amusement of this toy will only last for a little while with the older ones, but our younger pets will play for hours, maybe just a few years will go by before they settle down. But, that is only a wish, sometimes they can drive us nuts, because they keep bringing us these toys and wanting us to throw it for them. Unless your pet has a learning disability or is really old, then this toy will come in handy for years to come.

Conclusion
As long as you do not expect this toy to last forever, when teaching your pets to sit, stay, come, and down, this will be enough to get them started. This is excellent for starting off and then who knows this may lead to more obedient controlled pets. This is a reasonably inexpensive toy, that even if they tear it apart it will not cost you and arm and a leg to replace it. Our kids (Pets) love this toy and we have went through a couple of these, and we will continue to purchase as long as our pets never get hurt by this. So far they have never gotten any type of injury from this toy. Five stars for this one.]]>

I love hiking with a camera and especially if I'm not rushing to finish a trail! Hiking alone does pose some degree of dangers, especially for woman and older people.

Having said that, hiking in national parks is one of the best experiences of life! Just so long as you're not caught in the rain ;-)]]>

<![CDATA[ You Don't Have To Be A Dingo To Like Dingo Bac'n Bites For Dogs]]>
Puppies are cute no-matter what they look like, but when they get into a little bit of mischief, we all tend to forget what they look like. Just like when my Miniature Schnauzers bring us a bird, bunny, or even a frog. They just sit there with it laid by their food bowl as if this was their prize. This doesn't bother us as bad as them bringing something live into the house such as a mouse and they set it down right in front of us and is scurries around with a half eaten broken body dragging around leaving a trail of blood on a newly mopped floor. How can we scold them for doing this, so we have to keep giving them treats for doing things that comes naturally to them. These two ratters that take their job as killers of the backyard zone seriously, and they have a kill zone, that is the whole yard. Dingo Bac’n Bites can be found at just about any pet supply store or any grocery store for as little as 2.99 for a 7.5oz. bag individually and the case is more.

Description and Ingredients
These treats are soft and chewy and my dogs will do all kinds of tricks when they hear the bag rattle. These are made of beef, wheat flour, ground rice, soy bean meal, corn syrup, water (just enough for processing) gelatinized wheat starch, wheat gluten, ground wheat, glycerin, propylene glycol (preservative), dried bacon fat, poultry fat, dried cheese, gelatin, caramel color, salt, natural smoke flavor, phosphoric acid, potassium chloride, monoglycerides, potassium sorbate (preservative), iron oxide (color), artificial bacon flavor, mixed tocopherols (preservatives), FD&C red 40, FD&C yellow 5, FD&C blue 2, rosemary extract..

Guaranteed analysis is 16% of crude protein minimum, 7% crude fat minimum, 2% crude fiber maximum, and 28% moisture maximum. This is produced by the United Pet Group pet products division out of Cincinnati, Ohio in the USA. These are approximately 1" x 5/8", it is light brown wavy outside and has a brown center. This whole treat is hard and will be gone is seconds. There's many different products to choose from, this one is Dingo Bac’n Bites made with real meat and has a smoky flavor.

Experience
We have been giving these treats to out dogs in moderation, because if we left it up to them they would eat the whole package at once. This snack will stay fresh in the re-sealable bag that the treat comes in, but we take them out and put them inside of their treat jar for easier access. If your dogs crave snacks just like you do, then you will have to keep plenty of these or some kind of treat on hand. They will positively beg you for more, but you have to be stronger than them and only give them a few.

We limit our dogs to treats twice a day, this way they'll still eat their regular food. Just like kids, your pets need your guidance, limit them as to how much they eat. These don't smell bad to us, but they smell great to our pets.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend this product or any of the other treats made by United Pet Group. Bac'n Bites will help keep your dogs tail wagging. But, overall this is an excellent treat, your pets will do all kinds of dances to get these.

This product from the Hamilton Beach company and is labeled TrueAir Air Purifier carbon replacement filters. This comes in white and green box and will to help eliminate the pet odors not just cover them up. All you have to do is just plug this purifier into the nearest outlet and it will start working immediately. It is amazing how quickly that this will start working. The power of this unit will suck air through the filters and stop the odor from eeking throughout your entire house, this will work for 24 hours neutralizing all of those smelly particles that give your carpet odors, this will leave your home with a nice smell and the look of a fresh and clean house. You can find this at your local home improvement store for only $9.99 plus you will also receive a new time strip with the cost of each new replacement filters that you purchase. You will receive three carbon filters and one and one time strip with each filter that you purchase.

Description and Features
This product weighs only 1ounce and is 5-3/4" (top to bottom) x 5-1/2" (side to side) x ¼" thick. These will attach to the front inside of the purifier and will allow you let the dirty air come through the one side and out the other side. This filters job is to eliminate all and any odors that you may have in your room. This unit takes two filters at one time and they are held in place by 4 flexible pieces of plastic. These filters that are kept inside can be used in the upright or console position. You will hear a low fan running and that is enough to suck any odor through the filters and that it will not even sound like you have anything running. You will need to change the carbon filters every three months, there is no vacuuming needed to keep these clean. This filter is safe enough for rooms up to 13’ x 13’ in diameter. It does not matter what kind of house that you have and whether you have one of several kinds of carpeting, on your floors these include shag, short strand, bur bur type flooring. This is recommended for houses to keep down all kinds of animal dander any allergens that may be floating that you cannot see with the naked eye. These filters will help you have a better fresh smell than the other commercial stuff that you may apply directly to your floors. You can never change these too much, the only thing that will happen is that your house will smell fresher.

Along with the disposable charcoal filters that you get you will receive a HEPA-grade paper filter. On the back there is a air out grill, also if you plan on using this in the console position there is a removable base. The face of this unit is removable to allow you access to change the filters and there are four plastic filter bars that will hold the charcoal filters in place. These are very flexible so do not worry about them breaking when you are trying to remove them. On the front face there is some large air intake slots. If you are wondering how you will know how long the your filters will last, well they have also thought of that too. There is a time strip slot, this holds a strip that has a line that will appear when activated. This line will move from the left to the right, and when it is all the way to the right then it is time to change your filters. Depending on how much it gets use will depend on whether or not it will last longer than three month. This also has three filters to speak of, not only will this come with two charcoal filters it also has the paper filter and there is a permanent pre-filter that is permanently attached inside of the face when you remove it. To allow you to use this in the console position it comes with four adhesive rubber table top protectors and there is four indentations that will show you where to place them.

Time Strip
You are probably wondering what a time strip is and what to do with it. These time strips are just like an aspirin inside of a foil packet and you will need to activate the strip before installing it in the holder. Well simply put, all you have to do is squeeze the foil strip (squeeze hard enough that you hear a popping noise) and a line will appear and you install it in the slot that is on the top of the front of the unit. This is in plain sight so that you will always be able to see the line and know when it is time to change the charcoal filters. You will receive a new time strip with the purchase of each filter, so you can also change the strip when you change the filters. Even though you do not have to clean these filters, you will have to vacuum out the paper HEPA-grade filter every time that you change your other filters to allow the unit to work properly.

How this is supposed to Work
This is a basic and simple unit, this will remove and small unseen air particles such as dander from pets, dust. Pollen, mold, cigar or cigarette smoke and mildew spores. This acts as a giant air filter for your nose. This unit will suck air in through the front intake panel, and then it will proceed through the series of filters that is inside of the filter. The pre-filter will capture any large particles, (such as floating dog or cat hair), the carbon filters are use to remove any odors for your pets, and your last line of defense is the HEPA-Grade filter will trap any particles 3 microns or smaller at a rate of 99% effectiveness. The purified air is then released out through the back. Unlike the paper filters, that let odors pass through the filters, this type of carbon filter will absorb all of the odors that enter through them.

Experience
I have been doing floors for a few decades, and have had all kinds of pets throughout my entire adult life and when they came out with this product I was in heaven. I no longer have to purchase different types carpet fresheners or powders. I purchased these from one from my local Lowe's home improvement store. When you first start to use this you will have to learn how much is too much to operate this, so that this does not go through to many filters too quickly for your liking. The air that comes out is fresh and odor free, but will become smelly if you do not change the filters in a timely fashion. It only takes a few minutes for you to change these filters, the odors will absorb into your carpeting if you let them. Once you start to use the unit, it will immediately emit fresh air out of the back, you will be in sheer heaven from the fresh air that this has locked inside of your nose. I have noticed that filters prevent odors from traveling room to room. This is very easy to use, all you have to do is keep this running at all times and you will not mind having company over and worry about them smelling any nasty odors. You will have to keep doing this so that the dirty air from the carpeting and other rooms won’t be spread throughout the house. You will need to keep doing this until you do not smell any more odor. It does smell good when you know that you are trapping all the little pieces of dirt and dust mites, when all you have to do is suck them into the air purifier.

Location is very important when first using your new purifier, to make sure that you get the ultimate production out of these filters, place this in an out of the way place so that it doesn’t act as a tripping hazard. Also make sure that filters are not blocked by drapes and have adequate circulation. This is also not made to support any additional weight, so don’t let any children sit or stand on top of this unit. This unit does have a one year limited warranty but, not the filters. I have never had any problems, I have never had to use any part of the warranty. This has worked to perfection since day one. This unit and filters is not made for kitchens or garages where there is grease and oil or other chemicals stored. Plus, these areas are a heat source and this should not be used near them because this could cause reduced poor performance.

Conclusion
I would highly recommend using this in your house and where ever that you will be happy with the fresh smell that this gives you. One small unit per room with some carbon filters is all that this takes, unless you have a larger unit for the whole house. For just under $10.00 dollars per 3 pack of filters, this is not a bad price to pay when you look at what they will charge you to professionally clean your house and duct work, if your allergies start to really bother you , you will definitely wish you had gotten one of these. Imagine the savings that this will give you, and the doctors visit that you will not have to make, plus all of the medicines that you will not have to take. Five out of five stars for the ease of use , and the savings that this will give you, and the nice fresh smell that this leaves in your throughout your house.

<![CDATA[ Keep Your pets Happy With Vet Solutions Ear Cleansing Solution for Cats and Dogs]]>
Description
The bottle is an 8 ounce bottle, but there is other sizes that you can find this in. This is designed to be used several times a day use, and can be used for either dogs or cats. You can use this continually for an several months straight without worrying about any kind of excess to add to any infection, this does so because of the high strength and sanitary chemicals that this is made out of. This has a twist top that will help you squirt the solution into the ears, without doing any damage to the inner ear. This bottle of this solution is a clear liquid, so that it will not stain the animal hair to a different color. Your pet will allow you to squirt this in the ears without hurting or making them fatigued. None of the liquid is dangerous to your pets. This also has a break resistant bottle because it is made of a durable plastic you can drop this or have the animal that you are working on knock it off of the table and it will not break. This liquid inside of this bottle only has a slight odor, not enough to bother you or your pet. This is for topical use only (for outside of the body not inside of mouth or eyes).

Ingredients
You will find deionized water, propylene glycol, aloe vera gel, SD alcohol 40-2,lactic acid, glycerin, dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate, salicylic acid, fragrance, benzoic acid, benzyl alcohol.

Experience
Some people may be afraid to use these and poke their pets too far into the ear, but if you are careful you should have no problem. The problem lies with the animal and how cooperative they are. You will have to hold their head securely, by holding onto the head area or holding the head firmly. If you are afraid of the animal they will notice and they will fight you. So, you need to be quick about doing this job. The smaller animals with small ears will be the hardest, but the large animals with large ears will be a lot easier. You do not want to put this tip of the bottle too far into the ear canal, because you will hear a yipe out of your pet, letting you know that you are getting too close. Plus, you will have the makings of something start that you do not want to start if you are only trying to clean their ears. To be safe you can just squirt the liquid into the ear canal of the smaller pets and if you have a large animal then you can take advantage of their size and overall temperament.

When I first got this home, I thought that this would be a little bit of a problem, but my pets got used to this in a hurry. It will take you some time for you to get used to the way that they act and not have to be on guard. This is a real nice way to keep your pets happy and feeling healthy. The plastic bottle is made to allow you to align in the ear perfectly, there is no miss matching when this bottle comes in contact with the ears. The fact that you do not have to worry about the tip being too long is quite nice. All of my other cleaning solutions bottles fit into my hand with ease and this is very easy to squeeze into the ear. When you have the type of bottle that has a twist top and it slides up and open to keep any contaminants out of the sanitary solution. The end of the bottle that this has, will be add insurance if you can get used to using it or pushing it too far into the ear.

This type of cleaners are very durable and if you have ever done any grooming before you also know that there are animals that do not like to have their ears done. You will, from time to time, get an animal that likes to kick things off of the grooming table. I have dropped this, and had it knocked to the floor by my dogs and all it did was bounce a little. I really worried more about breaking the tip of the bottle off, but since this is a very pliable, the bottle bends and squeezes with ease.

I have used this product to clean all types of dogs from a Miniature Schnauzer, German Shepherd, Chow, Newfoundland, and Cocker Spaniels etc. This is excellent for all of the types of breeds that you may come across. Once you squirt this cleaner out, you can let it overflow out of the ear canal and you do not have to worry about it doing any damage to the rest of the animal. After you squirt this into the ear, you will need to massage the ear to work the liquid into the deepest part of the ear. Make sure that you first use a q-tip to clean the dirt out of the part of the ear that you can see then squirt this into the ears. As long as you lift up the ears quickly and give them a quick squirt the dogs and cats will only twitch a little.

Conclusion
I have been using this solution for just several years and I would not go back to any off brand name of solution if I was forced to. If you can afford one of this cleaning solution, I would highly recommend getting this. But, if you only groom once in a while then it may not be worth the money to invest in this large of a bottle, but I wouldn't think twice about not spending the money on a large bottle of this . You have to take care of your pets and keep their ears wiped down so that they do not become infected. As long as you keep your pets ears on a regular basis, they will stay clean for you for quite some time. I have also enjoyed the fact that all I have to do is grab the bottle out of the bag and no more fumbling looking around. This bottle is white in color and kind of stand out from all of the other bottles.

<![CDATA[ Walk On]]>
At first thought, walking would seem to be ideal for quite a bit of the average joe's average day. It certainly has its uses, but how much you can feasibly depend on walking is pretty circumstantial.

If you walk for exercise, there is a certain way you have to do it. That certain way is to place one foot in front of the other very rapidly, or else you're not burning many calories, and you certainly won't be building muscle. You will only be taking a light stroll, and the only way that can really benefit your body is if you happen to live in an area with a lot of steep slants and inclines so the feeling of walking up and down a lot of stairs can be at least somewhat simulated.

Location is also the key to how useful walking can be as a form of transportation. It's just fine if you live within a short radius of the sources of your living necessities - say a mile or so. Walking from one place to another is slow going, and it can take hours to go relatively short distances that a car or a bus or a bicycle can cover within a matter of minutes. Walking for long distance travel is out of the question is out of the question unless there is literally nothing else on your agenda. But it's not impossible - there are a lot of proponents of long-distance walking who use this simple means to go from one place to another, and they turn the walk itself into an opportunity to sightsee. Acclaimed filmmaker Werner Herzog is among these proponents - he once walked from Brazil to California.

People like that are exceptional cases, though, and if you're trying to walk for practical purposes while living in a rich, far-off suburb or whathaveyou, you can forget having a ton of free time. If you live rurally, it's impossible. Practical walking is best suited to urban environments or speed walking for exercise.]]>

<![CDATA[ Friskies Party Mix Chicken, Turkey and Cheddar Cheese Flavor Picnic Crunch Cat Treats 2.1-oz pouch]]>
Thank heavens for our dogs that act like garbage disposals, they will eat everything in sight even their own feces. In my book that is not cool and is disgusting. Our dogs will eat anything again and again, and every time that we have another failure, the dogs love to see these little bags come into the house. So, if we fail at a certain treat, then at least the dogs are happy. You can find this treat at Meijer's or any grocery store or even at any pet supply store for $1.99 for a 2.1 ounce reseal able plastic bag. Friskies party mix (the Picnic crunch flavor)is a mixture of chicken, turkey, and cheddar flavors, and is produced by the Friskies Pet Products division of the Nestle Purina company in St. Louis Missouri. This should only be used as a snack and not the main source of their diet. This product is manufactured in the USA, in ST. Louis Missouri.

Ingredients
This is made from chicken meal ,brewer's rice, animal fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols a form of vitamin E), corn gluten meal, animal liver flavor, salmon, fish, malt extract, turkey by-product meal, natural and artificial flavors, phosphoric acid, dried cheese powder (cheddar cheese), calcium carbonate, dried yeast, salt, choline chloride, added colors (yellow 5 & 6, red 40,blue 2), taurine L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), citric acid, folic acid, calcium iodate, A preservative, vitamins D-3, E-A-B12 supplement, niacin supplement, riboflavin supplement, thiamine mononitrate, d-calcium pantothenate, biotin, menadione sodium bisulfite complex (source of vitamin K), pyridoxine hydrochloride, BHT A preservative, sodium selenite, Minerals= zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, manganese sulfate.

Guaranteed Analysis
This also has crude protein minimum of 26.0%, crude fat a minimum of 9.0%, crude fiber maximum of 4.0%, and maximum moisture of 11%.

Description and Experience
This product is basically does not smell too bad for animals, as for humans this does not smell to bad at all. This has just a small odor and does not smell like anything out of the ordinary. But, hey, who am I to say what smells good and what doesn't. This has four types of shapes, and one is in the shape of a square with four holes in it called cracklers, then there is one the shape of a crunch twist, the next is in the shape cone called cheesy snap, the last one is in the shape of a star with a hole in the middle called star bites. All of these pieces of treats are also made of a solid color, these are dark brown and are all crunchy bites. These are hard to start with, and when you try to squeeze them, they can break up into smaller pieces when you apply pressure, these on average are also about ½" to ¾" in diameter.

Just like when you purchase a snack for your human kids, you are taking a chance when you buy a treat for your cat. Unlike a dog, where they will eat anything even dog and cat feces, cats are very finicky, and of course our cat is no different. It is hit or miss when it comes to purchasing treats for her, so far we have struck in every department. In this case I don't think that our cat realizes that these are actually treats especially made for cats, but our dogs don't care, and don't know that these are cat treats, they just gobble them up if we offer them a treat. These come in a 2.1 ounce reseal able plastic bag that can be recycled to help the environment.

Conclusion
In our case, we are stuck with some more new so called cat/dog dog treats. So, the best thing to do is to make sure that we only purchase small sample packages, 3 ounces or less(in this instance 2.1 ounces). So, we continue on our miss-adventure, to try and find which treat will make our cat go crazy when we open up the package. This time, we thought at first our cat was going to like this treat, because she sniffed and at least recognized that we set something in front of her. All of the other ones she won't even touch it. No matter, whatever the companies make the packaging or television ads look like, or the product smell like, if you have a picky cat, then you will just have keep trying to find a treat that makes them happy. These may make all other cats, in other households go crazy, but it does nothing for our cat. We can't even get our cat, to follow the treat and do tricks for a bite.

If we are lucky ,all we get from our calico a slight lifting of her head or is a weird look, as if they were saying "What am I supposed to do with that?". Our cat doesn't even eat them if we toss them into her food bowl. Even if we try to use them as a treat or training treat and try to entice her, she is a really good cat that does not scratch things and she uses the litter box the way that you would expect a cat to, but we have failed miserably. The only thing that our calico cat will do with these treats is smell them if that, we didn't even get a lick or any sort of slow acknowledgement to this treat this time, and that was it. These do still make a excellent dog treat for training our dogs. The minute that our dogs hear the bag of treats rattle, they come running to the seated position and beat the cat to the punch, and even though these don't smell like anything really special to our dogs they just love them. They still scarf a whole package these up in a matter of minutes and still look for more. With any luck we will find a treat that both our cat and dog will enjoy.

These are hard when you try to squeeze them, they can break up into smaller pieces when you apply pressure, these on average are also about ½" in diameter.

Just like us, you are taking a chance when you buy a treat for your cat. Unlike a dog, which will eat anything, cats are very finicky, and of course our cat is no different. It is hit or miss when it comes to treats, even if you ask for help from the store employee. In this case I don't think that our cat realizes that these are actually treats, but our dogs don't care and don't know that these are cat treats they just gobble them up if we offer them a treat. These also come in a 3 ounce reseal able plastic bag that can be recycled to help the environment.

Conclusion
In our case we are stuck with some new so called cat/dog dog treats, so we make sure that we only purchase small samples ,3 ounces or less, and so we continue on our adventure, to try and find which treat will make our cats go crazy when you open up the container. This time our cat appears to just sniff this treat, and one won't even touch it. No matter, what the companies make the packaging or television ads look or the product smell like, if you have a picky cat, then you will just have keep trying to find a treat that makes them happy. These may make that cat in other households go crazy, but it does nothing for one of our cat, and the dogs will follow the treat and do tricks for a bite.

If we are lucky ,all we get from our calico is a weird look as if they were saying "What am I supposed to do with that?". The calico cat doesn't even eat them if we toss them into her food bowl, and not even if we try to use them as a treat or training treat. The only thing that our calico cat will do with these is smell them if that, we did get a lick at first from our cat, but that was it. They do still make a good cat treat for training for other cats. The minute that our dogs hear the bag of treats rattle, they come running and beat our cat to the punch, and even though these don't smell like anything really special to our dogs, they still scarf these up. With any luck we will find a treat that both of our cat and dogs will enjoy.]]>

<![CDATA[ Season's Greenies Large 16 Bones]]> Greenies dog treats can be found at just about any pet supply store or any grocery store for as little as $20.00 for a large box. The individually wrapped ones will cost you just a bit more. These are made in the USA, in Franklin Tennessee.

Ingredients
The ingredients in these treats are full of vitamins, proteins, and minerals that will help your pets dental program. These also have all natural antioxidants and fibers and are low in fat. These ingredients include gelatin, wheat protein isolate, glycerin, soy protein isolate, sodium caseinate, natural poultry flavor, hydrogenated starch hydrolysate, lecithin, vegetable oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols), minerals (magnesium amino acid chelate, calcium carbonate, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, manganese sulfate, calcium pantothenate, potassium iodide), vitamins (dl-alpha-tocopherols acetate [vitamin E], L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate [vitamin C], vitamin B-12 supplement, niacin supplement, vitamin A supplement, riboflavin supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, biotin, pyridoxine hydrochloride [vitamin B6], thiamin mononitrate [vitamin B1], folic acid), dehydrated tomato, apple pomace, ground flaxseed, dehydrated sweet potato, cranberry fiber, potassium sorbate (for freshness), choline chloride, taurine, carotene, and chlorophyll.

Guaranteed analysis
This is a minimum of 52% of crude protein, 5% crude fat, 1.5% crude fiber, and 15% maximum moisture. This is produced by the Nutro products division. These are approximately 1" wide x 5/8" thick x up to 4" to 6" long, these are a hunter green in color. This whole treat is hard and will be gone is seconds. There's many different products to choose from, this one is from Nutro and is in the shape of a crude brush. Each of these treats will differ in the amount of calories depending on how large of a treat that you give your pet. The jumbo ones have 270, large have 144, regular have 90, petite have 54, and the teenie weenie ones have 25 calories, and this is per treat.

Experience
We usually give only one treat per pet, and the size of your pet will depend on which one of these that you should give. These are not good for puppies under 6 months of age or for ones that are less than 5 pounds in weight. If you have a dog that is 5-15 pounds you should use the teenie ones, if your dog weighs 15-25 pounds then use the petite ones, if you pet weighs 25-50 pounds then use the regular ones, if your dog weighs 50 -100 pounds you will need to use this product which are the large ones, and if you have a dog that weighs more than 100 pounds you will need to purchase the jumbo treats.

We have been giving these treats to our dogs at one a day, because if we left it up to them they would eat the whole package at once. This snack will stay fresh in the box that the treat comes in, but we take them out and put them inside of their treat jar for easier access. If your dogs crave snacks just like you do, then you will have to keep plenty of these or some kind of treat on hand. They will positively beg you for more, but you have to be stronger than they are and only give them one a day.

We limit our dogs to treats once a day, this way they'll still eat their regular food. Just like kids, your pets need your guidance, limit them as to how much they eat. These don't smell bad to us, but they smell great to our pets.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend this product or any of the other treats made by Nutro company. Greenies will help keep your dogs tail wagging. But, overall this is an excellent treat, your pets will do all kinds of dances to get these. Plus, you will save money on your pets dental visits. One dental cleaning can cost you on average of 200 dollars per dog, and if you have three then this might put your wallet into shock. If you want to this is a cheaper of the two, you may think that these are a little on the expensive side but just look at the alternative.]]>

Description and Experience
This product is basically does not smell too bad for animals, as for humans this does not smell to bad at all. This smells like a mild cheese and does not smell anything like beef. But, hey, who am I to say what smells good. This has four types of shapes and one is the shape of a square with four holes in it called crackers, then there is one the shape of a crunch twist, the next is in the shape of a wedge and has three holes in it called wedgers, the last one is in the shape of a star with a hole in the middle called star bites.. All of these pieces of treats are also made of a solid color, these are dark brown and are all crunchy bites. These are hard to start with, and when you try to squeeze them, they can break up into smaller pieces when you apply pressure, these on average are also about ½" in diameter.

<![CDATA[ Master Grooming Tools Ergonomic Professional Nail Clippers]]>
Description
The model # is TP61718 (TP stands for Top Performance)and is designed for all day use, for either dogs or cats. You can use this continually for an 8 hours straight without needing any kind of sharpening, this does so because of the high strength surgical stainless steel that the blades are made out of. This has a swivel nail guard that will help you stop before you cut the nail too deep. The handles of these nail clippers are ergonomically fit, so the you will be able to hold them for a long time without your hands hurting or making them fatigued. None of the parts are re-moveable from the main body of the clippers. This also has a break resistant body with ribbed rubber grips, even though you should not have to worry about anything but the blades going dull. The blades are made of hardened surgical stainless steel. These only weigh 4.1 ounces, and is 6-1/4" in length. At the widest part of the clippers they are only 5/8" thick.

Experience
Some people may be afraid to use these and cut their pets nails, but if you are careful you should have no problem. The problem lies with the animal and how cooperative they are. You will have to hold the paw securely by holding onto the elbow area or holding the paw firmly. If you are afraid the animal will notice and they will fight you. So, you need to be quick about doing this job. The smaller animals with white nails will be the easiest but the large animals with black nails will be a little harder. You do not want to cut the quick, because you will hear a yipe out of your pet, letting you know that you are getting too close. Plus, you will have blood start to come out all over the place. To be safe you can just snip the end of the nail a little to take the sharp point off of the nail and if you have a large animal then you also have to take of the sharp sides after the initial cut.

When I first got this home, I thought that this would be a little heavy because of the size, but I got used to them in a hurry. It will take you some time to get used to the guard. This is really nice the way they have made the grips pre-fit the body, the ribbed grips help for guarding against hand fatigue. The metal contacts will align perfectly, there is no miss matching when these clippers are compressed. The fact that you do not have to worry about any nails that are too long is quite nice. All of my previous clippers fit into my hand with ease, but these just feel more balanced. When you have the type of nail clippers that have a guard and it slides up and over the end of the nail this will be add insurance if you can get used to using it. This also holds a high strength steel spring that will help reopen the clippers after you have clipped the nail off.

These are very durable and if you have ever done any grooming before you also know that there are animals that do not like to have their nails done. You will, from time to time, get an animal that likes to kick things off of the grooming table. I have dropped this, and had it knocked to the floor by my dogs and all it did was bounce a little. I really worried more about bending the blade instead of breaking them. This has a lifetime warranty.

I have used these to cut all types of dogs from a Miniature Schnauzer, German Shepherd, Chow, Newfoundland, and Cocker Spaniels etc. This is excellent for all of the types of breeds that you may come across. Once you take this clipper out of the very fantastic durable case that it comes in, you will never put them away again. I have several pairs of these and like the sharpness of the blades and they have cut all of my cats and dogs, as long as you line up the nails quickly and give them a quick snip the dogs and cats will only twitch a little.

Conclusion
I have been using this clipper for just over two years and I would not go back to my old ones if I was forced to. If you can afford one of these clippers, I would highly recommend getting one. But, if you only groom once in a while then it may not be worth the money to invest in this tool, but I would think twice about not spending the money on a pair of these . You have to take care of this set and keep it wiped down so that the blades will stay sharp. As long as you keep this product oiled on a regular basis, this will last you for quite some time. I have also enjoyed the fact that all I have to do is grab the clippers out of the bag and no more fumbling looking around. These are blue in color and kind of stand out from all of the other tools.

<![CDATA[ Andis AGR Clippers Will Help You See The Way Of The Future.]]>
Description
The model # is AGR (64800)and is designed for all day use. You can use this continually for an hour straight without needing a charge, this does so because of the high capacity battery that it comes equipped with. This has a speed of 3800 rpm and uses NiMH (Nickel Metal Hydride) battery. The transformer unit uses a Sensa Recharging system to recharge your battery in less than one hour. This transformer also has a refresh(also known as a trickle charge) button to help the battery recharge fully overnight. You are also able to remove the battery and charge it up separately from the main body of the clippers. This also has a break resistant body, even though you should not have to worry about anything but the blades breaking. You can also swap this with a corded model if you wanted to. I have used this clipper with Andis, Oyster, Ultra Edge, Top Performance, and Ceramic Edge blades. This set of clippers is compatible with most detachable type blades.

What you get inside of the case is a battery operated clipper, one number 10 size ceramic blade, a removable battery pack, a sense charging transformer, a 4 ounce bottle of clipper oil, and a manual. This is for the professional groomer. This clipper will give you 25% blade torque over other brands. This clipper only weighs 1lb. 1.8oz. and is 7-1/2" long x 1-3/4" in diameter. On the front side of the clippers, it has a slide on/off switch that will allow you to do continuous cutting. Plus, this also has a quick release button for the battery.

The transformer weighs 2lbs.6oz. and is 3" tall x 4" deep x 6-1/4" long. This transformer has a refresh button and two led lights that will keep you informed at all times about the status of the charge that your clippers has. There is also a 6' power cord attached to the base of this transformer. A continuous green light means that your clippers have been quickly charged. A rapid green light means the battery pack is fully charged. A long green light means that charger is draining the battery pack, so it can do a fast charge. A short green light with a continuous red light means that your battery pack is getting a trickle charge and that the battery is either too hot or too cold to be charged quickly. A blinking green light without a red light means that it is being charged slowly because it was drained beyond use. You can also leave the clippers in its base for an indefinite amount of time. The transformer will only allow the battery to accept so much of a charge.

Experience
When I first got this home I thought that this would be a little heavy but I got used to it in a hurry. You will have to charge this for at least one hour before you start using it. This is really nice the way they have made the base pre-fit the body to fit the transformer so it will only fit in the base one way. The metal contacts will align perfectly, there is no miss matching. The fact that you do not have to worry about any power cords and getting hung up is quite nice. All of my previous blades fit on this Andis clipper with ease. You have to have the type that pop up and out with a flip of a little lever that is located right below the head of the blade. This also holds both types of blades, steel and ceramic. Once you have used the flip top blades you will never go back to manually replacing your blades. I have dropped this and had it knocked to the floor by my dogs and all it did was bounce a little. I really worried more about bending the blade instead of breaking the clippers. This has a one year limited warranty.

I have used these to cut all types of dogs from a Miniature Schnauzer, German Shepherd, Chow, Newfoundland, and Cocker Spaniels. This is excellent for all of the types of breeds that you may come across. Once you take this clipper out of the very durable case, I found a good use for it. You can use this case to hold a certain amount of tools. You can't hold all of your tools, but what you can hold inside of this case will allow you to be a little mobile. This has really surprised me, because I was so used to using the corded Andis pro edition.

Conclusion
I have been using this clipper for just over two years and I would not go back if I was forced to. If you can afford one of these, I would highly recommend getting one. But, if you only groom once in a while then it may not be worth the money to invest in this tool. You have to take care of this unit and keep it wiped down so that the vents do not get clogged and over heat the transformer. As long as you keep this product oiled on a regular basis this will last you for quite some time. I have also enjoyed the fact that all I have to do is grab the clippers out of the base and no more fumbling with cords.

Description
These biscuits are the large size measuring in at just about 3" long x 1-1/2" wide x ¼" thick. They are light brown in color and are easy enough for you to break up for your pets if you have small dogs. But, if you have a large dog they will gobble them up in one bite. Each of the dog biscuits have a picture of a tooth brush raised above the surface of the biscuit. These are supposed to make your dogs chew hard and the little bits and pieces of dog biscuit will chip away at your dogs tartar that is on his or her teeth. These biscuits are also supposed to fight plaque build-up and freshen their breath. Calorie Content: These biscuits have Metabolizable (to give your dog more energy) energy at 53 calories per biscuit.

Experience
It is very important for you to know that you should feed small dogs 1 to 2 biscuits per day and medium to large dogs 2 to 3 biscuits per day. This should not be their main source of diet, it should be included with their daily meals throughout the day not given all at once. You also have to be aware that these biscuits are not the miracle worker when it comes to getting tartar off of your dogs teeth. When we first started giving these to our the first thing that we noticed is that the tartar on our dogs teeth was in the beginning stages of becoming bad. If you catch it early enough then this will work.

But, if you wait until your dogs teeth are a nice shade of brown and you can't get any of the tartar off when you try and scrape it, then I am sorry to tell you that it will probably cost you about $200.00 per animal to get their teeth cleaned. This is because of the high cost of the anesthetic that they use. I called to see what it would cost if I had to have our pets teeth cleaned and they told that once I get them cleaned that these biscuits would be a good way to maintain their oral health.

If you start noticing that your dogs have bad breath, one of two things is happening and that is that the tartar has built up and the bacteria is what you are smelling, or they have gone out in the backyard and eaten some of their own feces. You know they like to do that don't you? These biscuits also will help in giving your dogs a nice shiny coat of fur. You can actual a nice sheen on your dogs hair when they walk by you. You can also use these as training treats which I have found to be quite useful because the dogs love them so much. The only problem with this box is that with having three dogs, and one of them is very large they could gobble a whole box up in three days. Plus, at five dollars a box this can get quite expensive. I did notice that I will have take my dogs in because this only helped a little bit. If I would have not waited so long to tend to their teeth, then I would not have to worry about the high cost of dental care from a vet.

Along with this Tartar control type, they also have other kinds to choose from such as: Max Bones, Max Mini Bones, Max puppy drumsticks, Max Crunchers, Max Steaks, Natural Choice sensitive stomach, chops, senior, lite,2 different flavor large breed adult, and 2 different large breed puppy choices. Each of these types are all the same price.

Conclusion
Remember if you are expecting for this to do a miracle, then you will have to start early on your dogs dental care. These biscuits will only maintain your dogs white teeth. If your dogs teeth are already white then there is a good chance that they will work for you. Once you get this under control then your dog will feel better and you will also be happy. If you have multiple dogs this will probably run into quite a bit of money but not as much as a cleaning by a vet. Five stars for the job that this does in maintaining your dogs oral health.

<![CDATA[ Yummy, Yummy, Yummy, My Cats got Love In Its Tummy For Science Diet.]]>
No matter what way that you look at it, cat food is not cheap unless you want to give them plain old bland generic cat food. But, if you want something healthy for your pets then this is a definite plus. Each of these brands from Hills Science Diet will help in some way or another especially, Science Diet. These bags will set you back at least ten dollars for a 4 pound bag and some of them cost a lot more. These all come in different size bags, but I usually purchase a small bag, so that it will be fresh for them at every day at dinner time. If you give your pets a better brand of food you will notice a difference in the way that they get around and the way that they look.

Ingredients
The ingredients are very important to know because some cats have allergies. What is in this food is: chicken by product meal, whole grain corn, brewers rice, corn gluten meal, animal fat, chicken liver flavor, choline chloride, potassium chloride, calcium sulfate, DL-Methionine, vitamin E & A & B12 & D3 supplement and vitamin C, iodized salt, niacin, thiamine mononitrate, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, biotin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, taurine, minerals (ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, sodium selenite), preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric and phosphoric acid, beta-carotene and rosemary extract.

Guaranteed Analysis
Crude protein - minimum 30%, crude fat - maximum 19%, crude fiber maximum 2%, moisture maximum 9.5%, ash maximum 6%, calcium minimum 0.6%, phosphorus minimum 0.5% & maximum 1%, magnesium maximum 0.095%, vitamin E minimum 525 IU/kg, taurine minimum 0.10%, ascorbic acid vitamin C minimum 85 mg/kg.

Description
Each of these pieces of food are a light brown in color and is 3/16" x ¼" in diameter. These are very easy for a young or older cat to pick up and easy to chew. These are round and have no real bad odor. You will have to stick your nose all the way into the bag to smell any kind of an odor.

Benefits
The benefits of this food will outweigh the cost by a long shot. This food will help your cat keep its kidney healthy and all of the vital organs. This also will help keep good muscle tone and make sure that they do not go overweight, and this is very easy on their digestive system. This food is ideal for adult cats between the ages of 1 to 6 years of age. This is also precisely balanced with all of it nutrients.

Experience
You should know that all cats need the proper diet to maintain the proper weight and keep a shiny coat. In order to do that, you will need to know how much that you should feed an adult cat, from 0 to 5 pounds you should feed them ¼ - 3/8 cups of food, 5 to 10 pound cats will need 3/8 to 5/8 cups, and 10 to 15 pound cats need 5/8 to ¾ cups of food daily. We usually feed them the same type of food so that we do not upset their stomach.

They love this type of food and always eat every bite. The only time that we change this food is if the cat reach a different age limit, such as a young kitten to an adult cat to an elderly cat. This is when their body will change and their nutritional needs might change. By doing this and following this proper diet, we have kept our cat healthy and having a shiny coat. We also noticed that they are real frisky and like to play a lot because they are healthy. When our cats are feeling good so are we.

Guarantee
Not all brands give a warrantee, but this one does. If you are not completely satisfied and see a healthy improvement, you can return this product to the place that you purchased it from and get all your money back.

Conclusion
I highly recommend using this brand from Hills Science Diet, you and your cat will be as happy as we are with the results that you both are getting from this food.

<![CDATA[ Scoop Johnny Scoop, and They Will Never Tell You Have a Cat.]]>
Description
This is grey in color and comes in little bitty clay pieces. This also comes in natural and fragrance free, but it will scoop very well. When poured straight from the container, and I don't care how slowly that you pour it you will get a cloud of dust from the litter. That is okay though, the drier the better, this makes for better clumping ability. This litter will allow you to only have to change the litter once a month because it has a long lasting effect. This starts the moment that you pour this into the litter box. This litter will lock in the odor when it comes in contact any feces, and because the clay is a highly absorbent clay it will work for days. Instead of smelling you will have a clean fresh scent coming from the litter box. No more urine smell as long as you scoop the litter regularly.

Experience
We have been using this for quite a while now and have had positive results when it comes to keeping the smell down, plus the clay pieces do not get tract onto the carpeting or floor after the use the litter. We have two cats and when we do a full change of litter once a month, we usually use about 10 pounds of litter at a time. How much litter that you use will depend a lot on the size of your litter box. We have one of those large covered litter boxes, this also helps keep the smell from getting out and smelling up the house. We usually scoop every morning and this ensures that the cats will use the litter box and not some corner somewhere. When they use the box the feces and litter come together and form a clump, this allows you to use a scoop and just take this out with ease in the morning. Even the urine will form a clump and come out of the litter really easy.

The container says to spread 3" of litter, but I prefer a little more for two cats. I still remember the first night that we had our cats, when we had to use some newspaper the smell was horrendous. Since then we have learned that Johnny Cat Litter will absorb all the odor and make it nice to have two cats run throughout the house. We always make sure that we put in a generous supply so that our cats will continue to use the litter box and not use any corner of our house.

I have heard horror stories about unruly cats that have behavioral problems and we don't want to endure problems like that. Because once they start to do that then they will not stop and I will not hesitate to boot them out. But, I figure that if we do our part and make it nice for them, then they will make it nice for us.

Warnings
If you are pregnant then you will have to have someone else clean the box, because cat feces carries a parasite called toxoplasmosis. This can be transmitted to a pregnant woman or a woman with a suppressed immune system. Also make sure that whomever cleans the litter box washes their hands so that they do not spread the parasite to other women.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend purchasing this type of litter for your cat. This is inexpensive and will leave your room odor free unless you forget to collect the feces from your cats litter box. Also remember, that if your dogs happen to get into the litter box and eat the feces, this is also dangerous to them. They could get a disease that will make them incapacitate them. My daughter had this happen to her schnauzer. So, remember scoop, scoop, scoop, and you should have no problems.

<![CDATA[ Petmate Will Drive Your Cats Crazy With This Circle]]>
Description
This toy is only 10" wide and 3" from the top to the bottom and 1/16" thick, and only weighs 6.6 ounces. All of the toys are each a different color, but this particular one is a nice sky blue in color. The nice thing about this toy is that they does not requires any batteries to operate, only an active imagination by your cats. This toy did not come in any cellophane or box to speak of, just a cardboard wrapper. So, this means that you will have only a little bit of trash when you open this up for use. I also thought that dogs would chew this toy up before the cats could play with it, but they are not even the least little bit interested in this toy.

This is made of a very durable plastic and is connected by a 3" hole with tabs in the center. This also has three curved slots in the top measuring 1" x 5" in area. The two halves are separated by a ¾" slot, that is wide enough to let your cat stick its paw inside and swat at the 1-3/4" yellow plastic ball. This ball sits in a concave groove that when swatted will travel with ease all the way around the toy. This toy does not come apart even when it is tossed around by your real kids.

Experience
We have used these for several years and it has always done an excellent job entertaining our cats. This has given our so called children (Pets)several hours of enjoyment and excitement when they are finally finished they left them exhausted after playing with them. While they were playing, they would come racing and attack the toy to get at the yellow ball inside. Once they were done playing with this and catch their breath, they would go back and start all over again, right back to the spot where they were playing with this, running in circles and swatting at the ball inside.

Because this toy is so light, your pet can easily toss it into the air and flip it over. This may be a little confusing, but our so called children (Pets) being so small, really did not understand that they are supposed to not flip it over to play with it. They enjoyed this immensely, they were just happy that they were able to make us smile, these toys will never fall apart and get your pets in danger of choking. Our pets are older but still play like little children, they have enjoyed hours of fun with this toy. We do have older cats, that can get a little bored with this toy, but they continue to still play with it just because it does it occupies their time when they get bored.

I have found the older that your child (our Pets) will get bored easily and they will soon stop playing earlier than the younger pets do. The amusement of this toy will only last for a little while with the older ones, but our younger pets will play for hours, maybe just a few years will go by before they settle down. But, that is only a wish, sometimes they can drive us nuts because they keep running at these toys and wanting us to watch them. Unless your pet has a learning disability or is really old, then this toy will come in handy for quite a few years to come.

Conclusion
As long as you do not expect this toy to last forever, when teaching your pets not to chew up other items in the house, this will be enough to keep them busy. This is excellent for starting off and then who knows this may lead to more controlled pets.

<![CDATA[ Something Smells Fishy, It's Not My Feet. Snack 21 Is A Dogs Best Friend]]>
Ingredients
This is made from wild pacific salmon and no by-products or any rendered materials. There is no preservatives, coloring, or artificial flavoring. These bits of pieces of salmon are a natural source of omega 3 fatty acids, protein, natural vitamins, and minerals. This is very safe unless your cat has an allergy to fish or seafood. This is 100% dried bits and pieces of wild pacific salmon. This also smells just like fish and they are light brown in color. Even though these are hard bits if you do not want the smell of fish running through the house then I would highly recommend that you keep the bag sealed.

Guaranteed Analysis
This also has crude protein minimum of 74%, crude fat of minimum of 6.0%, crude fiber maximum of 1.0%, and maximum moisture of 10%, and a minimum of 2% of Omega 3 fatty acids.

Description and Experience
This product is basically only smells good to animals, as for humans this does not smell nice at all this smells terrible and just like salmon. But, hey, who am I to say what smells good. This has several different types of shapes, just beef jerky just not as big as pieces. All of these pieces of treats are also different sizes, and there are even some that may need to be broken for your cat to eat. These are hard when you try to squeeze them they just break up into smaller pieces, these on average are also about 3/4" in diameter.

Just like us, you are taking a chance when you buy a treat for your cat. Unlike a dog, where they will eat anything, cats are very finicky, and of course our cats or no different, it is hit or miss when it comes to treats, even if you ask for help from the store employee. In this case I don't think that our cats realize that these are actually treats, but our dogs don't care and don't know that these are cat treats they just gobble them up if we offer them a treat. These also come in a 0.88 ounce reseal able plastic bag that can be recycled to help the environment.

Conclusion
In our case we are stuck with some new so called cat/dog dog treats, so we make sure that we only purchase small samples ,and so we continue our adventure to try and find which treat will make our cats go crazy when you open up the container. No matter, what the companies make them look or smell like, if you have a picky cat, then you will just have keep trying to find a treat that makes them happy. These may make that cat in other households go crazy, but it does nothing for our cats. All we get is a weird look as if they were saying "What am I supposed to do with that?". They don't even eat them if we toss them into their food bowl, and not even if we try to use them as a treat or training treat. The only thing that our cats do with these is smell them, we did get a lick this time but that was it. These do still make a good dog treat for training. The minute that our dogs hear the bottle of treats rattle they come running and beat the cats to the punch, and even though these definitely smell like salmon our dogs still scarf these up.

Turner & Hooch is a low key, modest comedy crime caper with a heavy dose of light romance thrown in. Tom Hanks plays Detective Scott Turner, a young man who is far too neat for his own good. He's about to transfer from his small town of Cypress Beach to the big city when a friend, an old man played by that great character actor John McIntire, is murdered. Turner delays his move and pleads with his police chief to be given the case. He's sure the old man's dog, a big, slobbering French Mastiff named Hooch (Beasley) saw what happened and can help identify the killer. Turner agrees to have Hooch live with him while he's on the case. Not to cut the plot too short, Turner and Hooch solve the case, but not without wild car chases, tense shoot-outs, money laundering, veterinary examinations, furniture chewing, refrigerator raiding and a lot of slobber.

The movie's plot, of course, is just an excuse to allow two actors with great likability to do their stuff. Hanks had by now already proven how skilled a light comedy actor he was. More to the point, he had the sort of personality and goofy looks that create instant empathy with an audience. Beasley, however, was the surprise. A novice actor, he was an unknown without even off-Broadway experience. He carried out his role with the skill and subtlety of a pro. Just as some actors can cause real tears to run down their faces at the command of a director, Beasley was uncanny in his ability to generate, as needed, drool. His resourcefulness also has become legend. In one scene, the sight of Hanks prancing around his apartment wearing a pair of tighty-whities (black ones) threatened to derail Hollywood's gay fashion industry. Fortunately, Beasley suggested quietly to the director that some amusing antics on his part might distract the audience from the odd awfulness of Hank's appearance. He was right. Yet the scene where Hanks and Beasley are on the pier and Scott Turner must wrestle Hooch to the police car is a fine example of ensemble acting by two talented and unselfish actors, each totally into their characters and yet giving fully to the other.

At the end of the movie the murder has been solved, the mastermind unmasked and young Turner has become chief of police. He has a wife, the veterinarian Dr. Emily Carson (played winningly by Mare Winningham). They have a baby on the way. They will remember Hooch in many ways, and so will Emily's collie.

Wherever in that pantheon they reside, I'm sure Dean, Ledger and Mineo are working with Beasley, now all of them close friends, to perfect slobber on command.]]>

<![CDATA[ Even Ratters Love These Treats From Milk-Bone]]> Milk-Bone Crunchy dog treats can be found at just about any pet supply store or any grocery store for as little as 2.99 for a 10oz. box individually the case is more.

Description and Ingredients
Wheat flour, meat and bone meal, sugar, dried poultry by-products, cooked with bone marrow (preserved with BHA, propyl gallate, and citric acid), also preserved with BHA, BHT, and citric acid, beef fat, salt, corn starch, annatto floor, ted iron oxide, red 40, sodium metabisulfite.

Guaranteed analysis is 12% of crude protein, 7% crude fat, 2% crude fiber, and 12% moisture. This is produced by the Del-Monte pet products division. These are approximately 1" x 5/8", it is white and has a brown center. This whole treat is hard and will be gone is seconds. There's many different products to choose from, this one is Milk Bone Crunchy- with real bone marrow

Experience
We have been giving these treats to out dogs in moderation, because if we left it up to them they would eat the whole package at once. This snack will stay fresh in the box that the treat comes in, but we take them out and put them inside of their treat jar for easier access. If your dogs crave snacks just like you do, then you will have to keep plenty of these or some kind of treat on hand.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend this product or any of the other treats made by Del-Monte. Milk-Bone will help keep your dogs tail wagging. But, overall this is an excellent treat, your pets will do all kinds of dances to get these.]]>

<![CDATA[ Purina Could Help People Lose Weight, With A Fit & Trim For People]]>
Guaranteed Analysis
This has 25% crude protein,7% crude fat minimum and 9% maximum, 5% maximum crude fiber, 12% maximum moisture.

Ingredients
This includes corn, meat and bone meal, soybean meal, whole grain wheat, corn germ meal, corn gluten meal, chicken, egg and chicken flavor, animal fat preserved with mixed-tocopherols, animal digest, turkey by product, salt, calcium carbonate, choline chloride, (added colors red 40, yellow 5, blue 2), potassium chloride, (vitamins E,A, D-3, B-12,K), zinc sulfate, manganese sulfate, manganese proteinate, ferrous sulfate, zinc proteinate, copper sulfate, copper proteinate, L-Lysine, monohydrochloride, calcium pantothenate, garlic oil, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin supplement, calcium iodate, menadione sodium bisulfate, folic acid, biotin, sodium selenite.

How much is Enough
You may not know how much that they recommend, that you should feed your pet. A lot depends on how much your pet weighs. For a toy breed that weighs 2-20 pounds you can give them ¼-1 cup, for a small breed weighing 10-20 pounds you can give 1-1 ¾ cups, for a medium breed weighing 20-50 pounds you can give them 1 ¾ - 3 ¼ cups, for a large breed weighing 50-90 pounds you can give them 3 ¼ - 4 ¾ cups, and for all breeds over 90 pounds you can feed them 4 ¾ cups and ½ a cup for every ten pounds over that amount.

Experience
They offer a lot of different types to choose from such as the original Purina Puppy Chow varieties. The Fit & Trim adult and the Active senior 7 plus. Since we have one dog over that age of 7 and two under we chose the product right down the middle to help them maintain a good fit.

Fit & Trim has green, orange, caramel, and brown semi-soft bites(but mostly dry). When we first brought this food home our dogs gorged themselves with this food and went through this bag in less than two weeks. If they could they would have chewed through the bag to get at this food. We usually put this food inside of an automatic feeder and they will eat twice a day. Guaranteed Analysis
This has 19% crude protein, 8% crude fat minimum and 12% maximum, 4% maximum crude fiber, 18% maximum moisture, 1% minimum calcium, and 0.75% minimum phosphate.

Ingredients
This includes corn, soybean meal, beef and bone meal, wheat flour, animal fat, wheat middlings, corn syrup, water, animal digest, propylene glycol, salt soy protein, hydrochloric acid, potassium chloride, beef, vegetable blend,(Peas, Carrots, and Green Beans), caramel color, sorbic acid, sodium carbonate, minerals, ferrous sulfate, zinc oxide, maganous oxide, copper sulfate, calcium iodate, sodium selenite, vitamin B12,D, E, and A, niacin, D-calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine mononitrate, folic acid, biotin, choline chloride, calcium sulfate, sodium bisulfate, titanium dioxide, yellow 5 & 6, red 40, BHA, DL methionine, blue 1, potassium sorbate.

How Much to Serve

Experience
They offer a lot of different types to choose from such as the original 'n beefy bits, mini bits, and canned varieties. The home style recipes include roasted chicken and vegetable flavor, grilled beef steak and vegetable flavor. In the healthy tasting department they offer the wholesome medley, brushing bites, and balanced bites for indoor dogs.

Kibbles 'n Bits steak and veggie flavor has green, orange, caramel, and brown soft bites. When we first brought this home our dogs gorged themselves with this food and went through this bag in less than five days. If they could they would have chewed through the bag to get to the food. We usually put this food inside of an automatic feeder and they will eat twice a day. This helps keep them in shape and very healthy, so there is less time spent at the vets.]]>

<![CDATA[ Mambo #5 is safe to do at night, if you have a K&H Ortho Bed]]>
Description
Thanks to Wal-Mart and the clearance isle, we found this very large heating bed for her, so she does not feel left out. This bed is made by K and H Ortho and it has its own heating controls that will go up to 102° and only uses 13 watts of power. The temperature is supposed to only go up 12° to 15° above the ambient air temperature.

The outer cover will come off for washing, and I highly recommend, that since the outer top cover is a sheepskin type light color and the bottom is a much darker color so that it will stand up to more dirt, you will need to wash this just to keep it looking good and not smelling. The outer dimensions are 33" x 43" and is 4" in height in the beginning. This whole bed only weighs 4 ½ pounds. This bed is made of a poly-fiber filled bed so that it will hold the heat better for your pet. This is safe and very efficient way to keep your pet warm and on those cold nights.

Experience
We have been using this for several months now and our bed is free of our four furry legged friend. Plus the fact that from time to time (meaning everyday she like to eat those tasty frozen treats that are in the back yard) she will get gassy almost every day. But, by having her on the floor and right next to our bed she does not feel left out and since it has a thermostat we know that will stay warm.

This says that it will go up to 102°, but I do not think that it need to be that hot. This was just made to keep the chill off of your pet. Even though she is an animal she is still part of the family and we have to take care of her.

Conclusion
I highly recommend that if you want to keep your friend happy and warm and also give you and your wife more room at night for you know what, then get one of these. At least your pet will not be on the bed while you are doing the Mambo #5.]]>

I bought a copy of John Grogan's Marley & Me in a CVS two years ago (this was, of course, before I started boycotting CVS, but that's a topic for another blog post) but didn't get around to reading it until this past Sunday. I read most of it in one sitting, starved for the luxury of curling up with the proverbial good book.

If you've been following this blog with any regularity, then you know that I don't like dogs. My sister's two shih zhus are the only dogs for which I've ever felt any sort of affection (they're so darned cute that they managed to melt my Cruella Deville heart), and even they sometimes intimidate me despite their diminutive size. So, given my feeling, why would I want to read a memoir about a man and his Labrador retriever?

Partly, it had to do with the fact that it was made into a movie, a movie that I'd happened to see. Although I'm a professed reader, I'm not immune to the effect of feature films on otherwise snubbed books (not that this book was ever in that category) and have been known to run out and buy such titles after being snowed by a glitzy trailer. Another reason I wanted to read Marley & Me was because the bf loves dogs so much - and I was curious to find out what made dog people tick. Finally, although I'm not a dog person, I am a book person. And I knew that author John Grogan was a newspaper columnist qualified to deliver a good yarn.

I was right. Marley & Me was well-written. And as in the movie, it wasn't just the tale of a man and his dog, but of the evolution of a couple and then a family. I enjoyed the descriptions of West Palm Beach, Florida (even if I did have to skip over the bloody parts - the Grogans' first neighborhood was an unseemly one), and the glimpse into newspaper life. As for the parts about Marley, well, they awed me, for better or worse.

I found myself wondering about the connection between people and their pets and the lengths people are willing to go to in the name of it. As I'm sure you know, Marley was a terror. He ate everything in sight, including pregnancy tests, jewelry, and chicken feces; knocked strangers over; destroyed entire rooms to the point of harming himself; and got kicked out of obedience school. His "exuberance" couldn't be daunted by even vet-dispensed doggie tranquilizers and inevitably resulted in small fortunes worth of damages (at one point John jokes that he could've bought a yacht with what he'd spent). Yet save for one section in which John's wife Jenny, who is suffering from postpartum depression, orders him to get rid of Marley, disowning the yellow tornado is never an option. (Of course, they don't get rid of Marley. John works extra hard to train him, and Jenny emerges from her depression.) Interestingly, it is at this point that John reveals the true secret of Marley's appeal: "As pathetic as it sounds, Marley had become my male-bonding soul mate, my near-constant companion, my friend. He was the undisciplined, recalcitrant, nonconformist, politically incorrect free spirit I had always wanted to be, had I been brave enough, and I took vicarious joy in his unbridled verve. No matter how complicated life became, he reminded me of its simple joys. No matter how many demands were placed on me, he never let me forget that willful disobedience is sometimes worth the price. In a world full of bosses, he was his own master" (140).

I paused, so struck by the words that I reread the passage. It was pretty powerful stuff. For a minute I forgot that Marley was a smelly, hell-raising dog, instead seeing him as John did, a symbol of freedom and all the things most of us wanted to be.

Yet symbol of freedom or not, I found it hard to understand how one family could allow an animal to turn their lives upside down. The parts involving bowels, vomit, and drool were downright disgusting. As for normal life, it was a nightmare. The Grogans couldn't go out to dinner without churning stomachs for fear of what havoc Marley may wreak in their absence. They couldn't refurbish their home without acknowledging that all their hard work and money would most likely be wasted. Having food stolen off their plates was a daily occurrence. Every garment they owned was covered in dog hair, and they couldn't walk through their yard without dodging, well, you know. These harsh realities exposed their existence as the very antithesis of freedom. Such a life would drive me insane.

Even so, I had tears in my eyes when they had to put Marley to sleep.

The bf, of course, pounced upon this nugget of information, renewing his campaign for us to adopt a beagle. But I was quick to wipe my eyes and begin carping about how I didn't want our lives disrupted. There are few things I hate more, after all, than factors that threaten to alter my admittedly lazy and sometimes selfish existence. I said as much to the bf, and he just sighed and said he knew.

Still, I fear that one of these days he may break me.

So, what do you think? I know that many of you must be dog owners, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts and experiences, whether they be reminiscent of John's or otherwise.

<![CDATA[ These Doggy Hoots Soopper Dooper Toys Will Make Your Dogs Goofy]]>
Description
This toys are only only 10" wide and 15" from the top to the bottom and ½" thick, and only weigh a few ounces. All of the toys are each a different bright basic color and shapes of scary animals such as a lion, tiger. This will help your pet to not make a mess with the ones that have stuffing in them. The nice thing about these toys is that they does not requires any batteries to operate properly, only an active imagination by your pets. These toys do not come in any cellophane or box, so this means that you will have to put them up for storage when not in use. I also thought that dogs were color blind so I think that the only reason that they make them in different colors is for the owners to purchase more of these cute toys.

Experience
We have used these for several years and it has always done an excellent job entertaining our pets. This has given our children (Pets)several hours of enjoyment and excitement when they are finally finished they left them lying wet and yucky and your do not want to even touch them.

This may be a little confusing, but our children (Pets) being so small, really did not understand that these are supposed to be put away after each use, all they knew was that the was kind of still sticky from the last time that they played with it. They enjoyed this immensely, they were just happy that they were able to make us smile, these toys will never fall apart and get your pets in danger of choking. Our pets are older but still play like little children, they have enjoyed hours of fun with these toys. We do have older pets that can get a little bored with this toy, but they continue to still play with it just because it does it occupies their time when they get bored.

I have found the older that your child (our Pets) will get bored easily and they will soon stop playing earlier than the younger pets do. The amusement of this toy will only last for a little while with the older ones but our younger pets will play for hours, maybe just a few years will go by before they settle down. But, that is only a wish, sometimes they can drive us nuts because they keep bringing us these toys and wanting us to throw it for them. Unless your pet has a learning disability or is really old, then this toy will come in handy for years to come.

Conclusion
As long as you do not expect this toy to last forever, when teaching your pets to sit, stay, come, and down, this will be enough to get them started. This is excellent for starting off and then who knows this may lead to more controlled pets.

Other toys that will please your pets

<![CDATA[ A page-turner that will capture your heart!]]>
"Love like a Dog" is not a dog book per se but let me digress a minute: You will learn a lot about the pit bull as a competing dog, pulling immense loads in contests for strength, which requires great physical discipline of both dog and owner. Did you know Helen Keller had a pit bull and that the terrier icon of RCA's "His master's voice" is a pit? You will learn about breeding and Anne makes you understand perfectly the emotions of dog and master during the birth of puppies, an event not at all trivial. And you will learn about the horrors of staged dog-fighting, a crime all too prevalent in Chicago. You will learn about the psyche of this naturally friendly terrier who needs exercise and discipline. Calcagno's canine observations are interesting and they don't detract in any way from the story but help to flesh it out. This is a story of people and dogs entwined in a way that neither is complete without the other.

Dirk Sewell is a boy growing up in Chicago, a shy loner whose best canine friend is Bull's Eye, a pit bull rescued from a dumpster by Dirk's father . Dirk's mother had deserted when the boy was three. Dirk is intelligent and gifted at mathematics, but his blue collar father sneers at education. Fissures in their relationship get wider and wider until Dirk and his father are facing each other across a ravine. The novel follows Dirk as he grows up, as he copes with the vicissitudes of life. The boy becomes a man in this book and you will love him because he reminds you of your own son or the boy next door.

Anne Calcagno is a fine new voice, she has the essential gifts- the sensitivity, the insight, the talent to carry her far. One description she made in the book I keep thinking about: Dirk's father is talking to his son about his pregnant wife, Dirk's mother, who deserted the family:..."I didn't predict how she would catch a grain of sand inside her. Thinking she surrounded some secret pearl. She got bigger and bigger. I thought she was just big with you, Dirk...but you weren't the pearl she was after."]]>

<![CDATA[ Awesome New England Patriots Dog Jersey]]>

This is an absolutely awesome, great looking pet jersey. The sizing instructions did very well for me, although it will be hard to get the absolutely perfect fit for dogs of varying sizes. Mine is slightly too large for my chunky little pooch but if I put a safety pin at the neck it fits just right. She can move around easily in her jersey on game days and run in circles when the Patriots score a touchdown in it.

The quality of the jersey it top notch as well.

Ingredients
What you will find in this dog food is: ground yellow corn, corn germ meal, meat and bone meal, soybean meal, beef tallow preserved with mixed-tocopherols this is a form of vitamin E. There is also corn gluten meal, animal digest, which is a source of chicken flavor. Also included with this is salt, liver meal, dried cheese powder, L-lysine monohydrochloride, potassium chloride, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, added colors (red 40, yellow 6, yellow 5, and blue 2), with vitamin A supplement, calcium carbonate, copper sulfate, calcium pantothenate, garlic oil, pyridoxine supplement, riboflavin supplement, calcium iodate, menadione sodium bisulfite complex a source of vitamin K activity, folic acid, biotin, sodium selenite.

The guaranteed analysis of this dog food is; 21% crude protein, 9% of crude fat, 5.5% of crude fiber, 12% moisture,1% linoleic acid, 1% calcium, 0.8% of phosphorus, and 80mg. of iron. The serving sizes will vary with the size of your dog and these include; 3 to 12 pound dogs should be given 1/2 to 1 ¼ cups of food. 13 to 20 pound dogs should be given 1 ¼ to 1 ¾ cups of food. 21 to 35 pound dogs should be given 1 ¾ to 2 2/3 cups of food. 36 to 50 pound dogs should receive 2 2/3 to 3 ½ cups of food. 51 to 75 pound dogs should be given 3 ½ to 4 ¾ cups of food. 76 to 100 pound dogs should be given 4 ¾ to 5 ¾ cups of food. Any dog 100 pounds and over should be given 5 ¾ cups plus 2/5 cup for every ten pounds over that. This is just a daily guide that can be adjusted for each dog.

Description and Experience
This dog food has four different kinds shapes and flavors mixed inside of it. The first one is in the shape of a red dog bone and a beef flavoring to it. The second one is yellow and comes in the shape of a chicken and has a chicken flavor to it. The third one is kind of a dark orange color and has a cheese flavor to it. The forth and last one is in the shape of a fruit loop and has a liver flavor to it. We have given this to our dogs either dry or as a treat we have mixed a bowl of this with some water to make a gravy like flavor.

When my dogs see me bring this bag through the front door, the tail wagging starts and does not stop until I fill their bowl up with this food. It seems like they can never get enough of this kind of food. This dog food is at all of your local grocery markets and about the least as expensive as I can find. They really like taking this out of their bowl and eating it. For some unbeknownst reason our largest dog loves to knock the food out of the bowl and eat it off of the floor. The smallest dog seems to think that it has to steal a mouthful and run into the other room and eat it. The last and the boss of the bunch just plain lifts her jowls at the other two and says to that the whole bowl is hers.

Conclusion
If you want your pets to stay healthy then give them the best that you can afford. This dog food has a money back guarantee, that if you do not like it then you go to www.alpo.com and get the number and they will refund your money. But I have one question, and that will you know if your dog does not like it?

Description
This whole unit only weighs a total of 3.8 ounces and this includes the wall mount that this comes with. It is 5" from the top to the bottom and 1 5/8" from side to side, and from the front to the back it is 1" thick. When you first look at the front you will see five horizontal lines that act as a speaker which emit ultrasonic noises that is only audible to dogs ears. The other thing that you will notice is a 1/8" hole that act as the microphone which will pick up the dogs barking, no matter if you have a big one or small one.

On the left side you will see two red slide buttons, one of which will operate the o/off function. The other slide button will allow you to change the sensitivity frequency from high to low. On the right side there is another hole which will allow you to plug in the AC adapter if you choose to purchase one. If you pull this out of its mounting tray and turn it around you will see the battery cover. To install the battery (9 Volt) all you have to do is slide it in the downward motion and plug the battery into the right terminals and then close this back up and turn it on. They recommend that you use an alkaline battery for a better life of the battery.

Experience
We have two Miniature Schnauzers and one German Shepherd and they were thrown aback when we brought this home. You can either mount this on the wall or move it around. We chose to just move this around because it only has a maximum range of twenty feet on high, when this is on low the range will only be ten feet.

Other than the wire that is attached to the adapter this unit is totally wireless. You can carry this around inside of your pocket and it will still work. If your dogs are like ours the will at first act a little weird until they get the idea in their head not to bark and every little thing. This worked on our dogs immediately as soon as we put the battery in and turned it on.

We were wondering if this really was working that well so, we turned it off and they started barking again. So, an answer to our question does something this cheap really work, yes is the answer. If you have a large house or area then you can simply purchase more than one of these to efficiently work in your areas. Right now we are getting by with only one of these units.

Conclusion
If you have an annoying little dog that barks at even the littlest sound then this is the thing for you. Everyone has ten dollars in their pocket, and you can make it a lot quieter around your house with one of these units at your beckon call. We prefer to leave this un-mounted because of the ease of use that this offers. I usually do not believe in these products that they offer on the "as seen on TV" because most of the time they are just gimmicks. But, in this case this is the real McCoy and actually works and is worthy of five stars.

<![CDATA[ Make It Comfortable to give your pet flea medicine, use Comfortis]]>
This is made by a very famous company called the Eli Lilly company. They sell pet health products in over 75 countries and can treat things other than fleas. They are also able to treat other things such as depression, schizophrenia, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, diabetes, osteoporosis and a whole heck of a lot of other diseases.

Description
These tablets are tan-ish to gray in color and come 6 to a box. You can purchase these individually or by the six pack. They are beef flavored and dogs love them almost as much as a regular treat. These are very easy to give to your pets and will start to kill fleas within thirty minutes. The only down side of the pill is that they, just like any other pill you will need to give it to your pet every 30 days. This pill is supposed to kill the fleas before they start to lay eggs. This is also approved by the FDA and is only safe for dogs and puppies over 14 weeks of age. As long as you remember that this is only for fleas and not ticks you will be okay.

Unlike all of the other products, you will not have to worry about this rubbing off onto you or your kids. The active ingredient in all of these pills is "Spinosad", no matter what the size of pill. There is five different colors and which color is determined by the weight of your pet. The pink box is for the smallest 5-10 pound dogs and has 140mg of this ingredient inside of the pill. The next box is the orange box and it is good for 10.1-20 pound dogs and has 270mg of this ingredient inside of the pill. The next color is green and it is good for dogs weighing 20.1-40 pounds and it has 560mg inside of the pill. Then there is the blue box which is for dogs weighing 40.1-60 pounds and has 810mg if this ingredient inside of the pill. The last color is brown, and it will cover dogs weighing from 60.1 - 120 pounds and has 1620mg if this medicine inside of this pill.

Experience
We started to give this to our pets once we had a bad result from Sergeants Gold flea and tick treatment. We did not know that this was going to be this easy, we didn't even have to slide this into a slice of cheese or a hot dog. We just simply asked them if they wanted a treat and they all sat up and lifted their ears up, then we just tossed it up for grabs and they just about fought each other off of the pill and gobbled it up, leaving them wanting more.

These particular pills only cost $15.00 per pill, if you want to purchase them individually and the vets will just pull one of them out of the box and sell it to you. Otherwise one box will cost you $75 for a six month supply. So far, we have not seen any fleas anywhere, and as for the ticks we think that we have gotten rid of the possibility of them attacking our pets. We simply removed all of the pine trees in our yard. The only thing that we have to worry about is if our yard ever gets run over with fleas.

About three times a year we treat our lawn to prevent any infestation, we really never had any problems with fleas but, we just did not want any in our house. Sometimes, we are a little overprotective to our pets and make judgment calls that will affect us in the wrong way. You can't go wrong with this product it safe and vet recommended. There are some side affects listed but as to date we have had no adverse affects at all.

One of the side effects that are listed, is one of the most common and that is vomiting, other possible side effects that could happen are depression, lethargy, loss of appetite, in-coordination, diarrhea, itching, twitching, trembling, salivating, and possibly seizures. The best thing that we have found is that before you use this check with you family vet before purchasing. Since we only have to worry about fleas ¾ of the time we do not have to treat our pets year round. Usually 9 months out of the year is good for us.

We did check with our vet, even though there are a lot of side effects listed, they have been using this for several years and the worst thing that has been reported is that one dog threw up one time. Other than that this has been a good and safe product. This is what our vet told us and that is why we decided to give it a try.

Conclusion
Since our little mishap, we have learned our lesson about purchasing stuff like this over the counter. We value our pets life as we would our real children's life, and when they are sick we are also miserable. For now, this is working and it is a lot easier to give.

<![CDATA[ Snausages Will Give Your Pet a 3 Mile Smile]]>
These are the cutest little killings machines that you will meet and it is hard to get mad at them when they are just doing their job, so that is why we try and praise them a little by giving them a small treat such as one of these "Beef and Cheese" flavored "Snausages". These can be found at just about any pet supply store or at any grocery store for as little as 5.99 for a 24oz. bag. All of these places do sell a lot of different size bags of this product all of which come in a re-sealable bag to help keep them moist and chewy.

Description and Ingredients
This product takes the usual stuff that dogs will get inside of a treat, such as: wheat flour, beef, soy flour, corn syrup, water sufficient for processing, propylene glycol, liver, animal fat (BHA used as a preservative), dried cheese product, chicken by product meal, calcium sulfate, potassium chloride, salt, phosphoric acid, vegetable oil, titanium dioxide, garlic powder, sorbic acid (used as a preservative), potassium sorbate (used as a preservative), natural smoke flavor, yellow 6, yellow 5, red 40, BHA (used as a preservative), citric acid (used as a preservative).

The guaranteed analysis of this product is 15% of crude protein, 7% crude fat, 1.5% crude fiber, and 29% moisture. This is also produced by the Del-Monte pet products division. These are approximately 1 ½" in length and 5/8" in diameter, it is orange-ish tan in color and has a deep reddish brown center. This whole treat is soft moist and chewy and will be gone is seconds with any dog. There are many flavors and different products to choose from but this one is the Beef and Cheese flavor

Experience
We have been giving these types of treats to out dogs in moderation, because if we left it up to them they would eat the whole package up in one sitting. This cheesy snack will stay fresh in the re-sealable bag that the treat comes in, but we take them out and put them inside of their treat jar and the still stay fresh until they have all been eaten. If your dogs crave snacks just like you do then you will have to keep plenty of these or some kind of treat on hand. You can't stop at just one of your treats and the only way that they can stop at more than one of their treats is with your help. They will positively beg you for more than one but you have to be stronger than your dog and only give them only a few at a time.

We limit our dogs to treats twice a day, this way they will still eat their regular food. They are just like real kids, if you let your kids eat candy all of the time then that is not good for them. Just like your kids, your pets need your guidance and limit them as to how much that they get. These do not smell bad to us, but they smell great to our pets. Once they hear the treat jar lid or the packaging to the treat rattle they come running right away.

Conclusion
I can highly recommend this product or any of the other treats made by Del-Monte. Snausages will help keep your dogs tail wagging. But, you will need to keep up on their teeth treatments because the tartar will build up very fast if not watched. But, overall this is an excellent treat and your pets will do all kinds of dances to get one of these.
