I love candy. And... I have weird candy eating rituals. ... and I guess this isn't too weird because I've talked to other people who also have weird candy eating rituals. it's not particularly lady-like but I like to savor different parts of the candy. I love Halloween ... I can't imagine a more perfect holiday. I get to wear a costume AND I'm gonna get candy. Score!
Twix vs. Tootsie Rolls ... if I could have two number ones, this would be the other #1. I love the big Tootsie Roll party bag of different Tootsie Roll types. Oh Yum. The minatures: Roll it up into a ball. when it becomes a soft consistency, eat. The rectangle shaped ones: Eat one section at a time. Tootsie Roll Pops: I never did figure out how many licks does it take to get to the center.
I only like candy corn during Halloween. Any other time kind of spoils the specialness of candy corn. And... I never actually buy candy corn. I just let candy corn serendipitously happen... Ritual: Eat yellow section. Eat orange section. Then the tip. Sometimes if I want to live dangerously, I mix it up and start at the other end. Wooo! Same goes with all the new kinds of candy corn "flavors" -- caramel apple candy corn?
I only eat one M&M at a time... Not lot comes in a bag, especially the peanut variety. Is this lame? But I want to celebrate each piece of candy ... ha ha. Like french fries, each peanut M&M is different... some are bigger, some have more chocolate ... each one is special.
I prefer the "old-school" Starbust where the flavors are red; orange; pink; yellow. ... They have flavors yes, but basically it's "red flavor." I eat them "Starburst candy cycle" with RED first [since it's my 2nd fave]; PINK [3rd fave]; ORANGE [least fave, but ... hey I'll eat it if there is no other candy in the building]; the YELLOW [my fave ... saving the best for last]. I like it when I meet someone and their favorite is ORANGE / least favorite is YELLOW ... then we can trade. ha ha! more yellow for me! I'm a little more iffy with the "tropical" and johnny-come-lately Starburst flavors. But just like orange starbursts ... I will eat tropical starbursts if it is the only candy in the building.
