The anime Dragonball Z has always been seen as “unfilmable” and Hollywood to make a quick buck, when they made the film “Dragonball Evolution”, it just reeked of total suckage. I understand that there are some things that just cannot be translated well into film and some things just should stay under anime or manga. Same thing with several comic book adaptations, I mean some people just cannot disassociate ‘silly’ from the word “comics”.
Well, the Japanese and the Chinese did try their hands in adapting Dragonball Z into the big screen in the 80's; true, it was stupid, but at least it tried to be faithful, and not insulting (not that much) to the anime series. Hollywood’s “Evolution” was excrement, and being stupid is a step above. We get to see a lame-looking Fieza and a funky looking Goku…hey, they tried to stay true to the source material; so give them some credit.
Oh, by the way, Goku at Super-Saiyan 3 can eat Superman, Hulk and Thor for breakfast….
I don't think Dragon Ball Z is unfilmable. It could be done right if you get the right person to do it. The problem is that I'm not sure anyone from the film industry in either America or Asia is the right person to do it. And, hell, we don't want more lame attempts, do we?!

In this age of awesome CGI, it can be pulled off. However, one needs to keep the spirit of the anime in mind. H-wood can do it, but do they care enough to give it justice? They nearly killled Thor and Cap, and GL was so boring. I hope one day, we do see a real DBZ movie.
You have far more tolerance than I do, I don't believe I can sit through that. And oh yeah, Goku would eat them alive at Super Saiyan 1.

Oh, this was made during the 80's before the days of CGI; so they tried. "Evolution" was excrement for me since they had the capability to do better and they didn't. You are correct, Goku can beat those three at his first incarnation....but at 3, I think he would close to the Odinforce....
