World War Z contains good acting performances and an equally good musical score.

I've seen zombie films before,. World War Z is the best one of the genre.  This is because of the outstanding acting performances.. Brad Pitt is a former United Nations employee named Gerry Lane. His mission is to understand why zombies have taken over the world.  I love the visual effects of this film so much.  There are zombies on an airplane.  There are zombies in the convenience store.  There are zombies climbing a wall in Israel.   The musical score by Marco Beltrani really make the visual effects come to life.  I can feel the frantic chaos that Brad Pitt feels driving through a traffic jam in Philadelphia in one musical composition.  I can feel the menacing presence of having zombies on an airplane in another piece.  There is another musical composition entitled Ninja Quiet that I love.  This piece contains pulsating drum playing.  It is not quiet as the title leads me to believe.  I was sitting on the edge of my seat because of this superb musical score.

Pitt plays a devoted family.  I like the simple scenes in the movie.  I like seeing him cook breakfast for his family, as much as I enjoy seeing him running from zombies.   Gerry  also possesses a sense of compassion and medical skills.  I like how Gerry treats a wounded female solider on the airplane from Israel to Wales.  This soldier is played by Israeli actress named Daniella Kurtesz. She becomes Gerry's ally in fighting against the zombies..  Mirelle Enos plays Gerry wife.  Enos gives an excellent performance as a loving mother and dutiful wife.  Her chemistry with Brad Pitt is so good.  I really believe that they could be husband and wife.  It is very rare to have two good supporting performance in a film, but this film does.     The final act of courage that Gerry performs does not get rid of the zombies.  It is a realistic ending to a film that deserves a sequel.

Short on Suspense, Gore and Pay-Off....Simply A Zombie Action Summer Blockbuster
The zombie virus have already attacked the world in an unstoppable force with one wave after the other. Well, not in the manner that one may think. The zombie plague have attacked the annals of pop culture; the virus have attacked humanity in the form of movies, books, comics and graphic novels, TV series and even in the form of Halloween decorations. It seems like the zombie plague had replaced vampires, ghosts, and werewolves as the leading element in the horror genre.      …

The summer of 2013 has not been a good one for movies. Again and again I’ve been treated to mediocre blockbusters from the dreadful Iron Man 3, to the disappointing Star Trek: Into Darkness, and “meh” Man of Steel. When the best movie I’ve seen all summer was the underrated sci fi Tom Cruise movie, Oblivion (which wasn’t all that great either) you know it’s a bad summer for movies. Nothing even came close to wowing me.       World War …

By Joan Alperin Schwartz   Nothing scares me more than zombies and that's why I can't get enough of them. I've seen every George Romero film as well as '28 Days Later' many, many times. Plus I own the first two seasons of 'The Walking Dead'.   Needless to say, I was really looking forward to 'World War Z' and I'm happy to report, I was not disappointed...                         …
