I don't have TiVO or any other television subscription, but I do tend to watch television programs via iTunes, Hulu, YouTube or other means of internet enabled show watching. And there are some awesome shows out there!

Arrested Development, IMO, is the smartest comedy ever made. Not that my family resembles the Bluths, but there are definite moments that look all too familiar. The writing is smart and the characters are all fun to watch.

Smart, sexy, controversial and complete eye-candy. I love everything about this show.

The Wire
The Wire
The Wire changed the way I look at the world...especially how I look at racial relations. It breaks down the issues from every angle and totally smashes any notion of Us vs Them that may have existed in my mind. I wish everyone would watch this show.

Flight of the Conchords
Jermaine and Bret from Flight of the Conchords
Jermaine and Bret make me laugh non-stop and their music is fantastic. Love those crazy Kiwis!

Dexter
The concept of the show makes you feel uneasy, yet you cheer for Dexter when he makes a kill. Creepy, yet compelling.

Heroes
Heroes
I love the comic book style of Heroes and that these heroes are everyday people with amazing abilities. No capes. No crusades. Just a bunch of people dealing with what it means to be given extraordinary powers.

The Colbert Report
The man is smart. He takes serious issues and explains the ridiculousness of them through comedy. Fantastic.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart
I love Jon Stewart for his wit, his biting commentary and for the fact that he launched Stephen Colbert's career.

The Rachel Maddow Show
Her commentary kicks ass. She's smart and ballsy and a really great role model for young women. Go Rachel!

This show is just geeky enough to tune me in. I wasn't much of a math lover pre numb3rs, but it's converted me.
