My obsession with Sinful started innocently enough this past Christmas. I was picking out some Affliction gear for my MMA-obsessed friend at Buckle when I spotted some pretty, pretty tank tops and t-shirts. The salesperson told me that they from a new clothing line called Sinful and were actually part of the Affliction family that is the sister clothing line of Affliction. I never was a fan of those shirts that said "Princess", "Sexy" and "Foxy", etc, across my chest, nor was I ever a fan of having "JUICY" emblazoned boldly across my ba-dunk-a-dunk, and I wasn't to keen on having "Sinful" strewn across my chest and back, so I had to say "No".

When I got home, though, I couldn't stop thinking about them, so I had to look them up on their website. The styles are tough-chick-who-can-kick-your-ass chic, yet still exude prettiness and femme-ness at the same time. The tanks that caught my eye, in particular, were their "Sublimation" ones. They're light, pastel colors on the cooler spectrum that remind me of tie-dye. And the tees that caught my eye were the "Burnout" ones that are made of really soft, sheer cotton material and were similar in color. Aside from the pretty colors, the designs are very pretty as well. Though these shirts are tattoo-inspired, they don't look like the the traditional hard edge, biker tattoos that Ed Hardy has, and are more subtle and beautiful. Designs include sparrows, skulls, cobwebs, dragons, lotus flowers, blossoms, roses, panthers and my favorite, koi fish. With the exception of the skull and cobwebs, I'd totally get tattoos of all the other subject matters.

After browsing on their site, I was totally sold and *gulp* ended up buying too many. With the shirt's pretty designs and colors, I can overlook the fact that it says "Sinful" on it. "Sinful"'s written in cursive anyways, so it's harder to read, right? Right??? :P These shirts don't come cheap though, the tanks were $54, and the tees were $58.

Just a few notes about the tank tops: They run pretty small. Their size small fits more like a x-small and is very snug on my 95 lb frame. They don't stretch out either; how it fits when you try it on is how it's always going to fit. One minor gripe that I have about the tanks is that they always ride up. Unless you wanna show off a tramp stamp, lower-belly tattoo and/or some extra skin, you're going to have to pull down the tank a lot. That, or wear mid to high rise pants and skirts. T-shirts are more loose, and longer though.

Sinful can be purchased at Buckle, some Macy's, and higher end boutiques where other like brands (Ed Hardy, Lucky Brand Jeans, Silver Dagger, Christian Audigier, etc) are available. Occasionally, they'll pop up at TJ Maxx and eBay, too, but I wouldn't count on it. Of course, there's always their website, too. If you're not ready to spend $50+ on a t-shirt, Forever 21 actually has some shirts with designs and materials similar to the burnout shirts. I bought a couple for $12 and they are so comfy that they've become my pjs!

Needless to say, I'm pretty much in love with Sinful now. This over priced, tattoo cloting craze is a slippery slope, though, and I gotta be careful, because next thing I know, I gonna be deck out in Sinful everything!
