my best mexican film

My best mexican movie is a perfect film of the life in the mexican revolutionary times. This film is a good script about the impossible love between two persons in the greedy Mexican society  something like when other person doesn't allow the passion in this romance. Good mexican cuisine and broken love are present in this filming, the problems in a family mexican are show like a therapy of black humor. Beautiful woman and handsome man are a mixture of a good love scene. An impossible love is not even a lifetime. The love always triumphs over all things.

Glad to hear that one of my favorite books is one of your favorite movies!  Have you read the book?  I saw the movie and read the book several years ago.  Though I like the movie, it still doesn't compare to the book!  This is a great review though and it's really interesting what you say about Mexican culture.  Thanks for sharing, Josue!

I was hoping for a sexy film about cooking, but wound up with a pretentious & cliche dramedy with little to offer...

The story opens on a Mexican rancho in 1910, as Tita is being born. Her harsh mother proclaims that the child will remain at home all her life and never marry, and Tita is relegated to the kitchen. When she grows up, Tita falls in love with handsome Pedro; he cannot marry her so he marries her sister just to be close to his beloved, who is now the family cook.     I know this was a favorite of the critics when it came out, so I can only assume that something was lost in the translation …
