It was a dream come true for me! Being "one" of my most favorite musicians, Il Divo's concert in HK is something I'd never have missed! Lucky for me, I got my ticket end last year during the presale and ended up with the first row! Great for the eyes but not so great for the ears as the speaker was blasting away. Anyhow, more of it in the actual review!
I was planning on buying a pair of Solo Beats HD either way, but when the Apple employee told me he brought the wrong ones up and that they were a limited edition version, it was kind of a no brainer. For the same price as regular Solo Beats HD, I got a pretty awesome limited edition item. I really dig the gold and black finish. Having been wanting a pair for a while, I was … more

Music is fantastic stuff. It's a form of art and language which has broken every boundary mankind ever conceived. It has the power to tap into your deepest corners of mind, heart, and soul, as escapism or powerful reminders of events. It comes in many different forms, and exists everywhere.
Some earlier reviewers would suggest that this isn't up to the standards that Karl Jenkins achieved in some of his earlier output. I couldn't respond to that because this is the first Adiemus recording I've ever heard and, frankly, I loved every second of it. I'm thrilled that other listeners think the earlier recordings are better because I've now got something to really look … more
The lights go on, the stage comes alive, Celine Dion is ON and we all come alive! The setting: Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas. The show: Live in Las Vegas. The performer: Celine Dion. Sharrie posted a Quick Tip about Lea Salonga.

She is a Filipino and she was real young when she first began singing, at 7! Lea Salongo is famous for her works in Miss Saigon, Les Miserables & Mulan. Terrific singer and one who has such passion & powerful voice. Love her! Lea has such a distinctive voice that even if you don't know her name, you'd have recognized her voice! Indeed, she sang in Aladdin! … more
He surprises ... in a phenomenal way. Yanni is best listened live, I feel. There is a life force in his performances & if one shares it with the rest of his audiences, it's quite a spectacular experience. Yanni had just returned from concerts in South America, Puerto Rico & Mexico. Let's take a look at his recent productions. For one who has no formal training … more
As a child, I was introduced to Johann Strauss J. music through the Mantovani Orchestra. It was a delightful way of having access to waltz, namely those from Johann Strauss. Because of that early conditioning, I've loved Strauss' Waltz more than any other classical music (the only one that comes close to this love was Puccini's operas). However, as the music format … more
You cannot get to know about Richard Clayderman's music without knowing Ballade Pour Adeline to begin with. That essentially is his signature tune. The ballad was written by another French composer Paul de Senneville as a tribute to his daughter Adeline. That was back then in 1976. The album has since been sold in 38 countries, a record 22 million copies. … more
Simply a melody, one as beautiful as this, will bring you back to a time when life is hopeful and blissful. I know, I sound like I had some terminal illness or something. No, not really. My friend does. However, that's not the point of writing this review. Raymond Lefevre is a name that I had almost forgotten. Until I was writing a review about Pierre Porte, another musician … more
Pierre Porte is a French composer. He has an orchestra named after him, the Pierre Porte Orchestra. I first heard him in the era of Richard Clayderman and that's some 2 decades ago. Pierre Porte music is mostly found only in Japan & Europe since I've never actually come across his music on other made CDs. In fact, I've only one of his collections and have had no idea where to get his … more
In this Barcelona concert (DVD), I promise myself to make a date with Il Divo. Yes, that’s something to hope & live for in 2011… to see Il Divo perform in person. Again, as usual, Il Divo commands a presence and charisma like no other. They have matured as a group & also as a singer, especially David, and it is so marvelous to see that happening. Carlos … more
An excellent CD/DVD bundle of Il Divo's concert performance in Barcelona, Spain. Great collection of songs & worth every penny of the money spent. The concert recording is a lot longer than Live at the Coliseum with a total of 22 songs in the DVD alone. Surprisingly many songs were sung in English! Love it!!!
Like Sashimi, he's an acquired taste. Like red wine, he gets even better as he aged... I didn't know that I'd like him as much as I'd at this moment. I had began to listen to Andrea Bocelli over some 10 years ago. He must have improved a great deal since, or else it's digital mastering that's making him a great singer! What I'm listening … more

It doesn’t hurt that they are some of the most charming… It doesn’t hurt that I’m watching them on HDTV… It doesn’t hurt that all the four of them makes it the more powerful… (there is something about 4 attractive men coming together; it’s simply magic :-)) It doesn’t … more
If you're a fan of Secret Garden, this is a must. I love all the songs in this album but especially The Things You Are To Me, If Came The Hour, Song For A Stormy Night and Thank You. They are all truly fabulous and keepers. A most inspiring and favorite album! Elaine Page did great with her rendition of The Things You Are To Me, my most favorite song of recent times.
Who hasn't heard of Andrea Bocelli? His name is known throughout the world, his voice is heard in many homes and loved by people of all ages. I don't remember how I've discovered Bocelli, but I know that each time I hear him sing, I am inspired and filled with awe. If you have heard him on CD (mp3, etc...), you haven't really heard him sing just yet. If you ever have the opportunity … more
