This year it was Susan Boyle who made the impact. She was not the winner of Britain's Got Talent though.

2 years ago, it was Paul Potts who astounded the audience at his first audition. An underdog, an amazing talent, a fantastic rendition of Nessun Dorma. What the heck was he doing selling mobile phones all his life when he could sing like those in the big league? What a climax that was, his first audition and performance on BGT! You've to watch the video... it's fantastic!

If there is any fairy tale in the world, this is certainly one fine one! At least for Paul Potts, life will never be the same again! Way to go, Paul Potts!!!

Paul Robert Potts (born 13 October 1970) is a British tenor who won the first series of ITV's Britain's Got Talent in 2007, singing an operaticaria, "Nessun Dorma" from Puccini's Turandot. Potts was a manager at Carphone Warehouse who also performed in amateur opera from 1999 to 2003.
