When it comes to music, he's my idol! The hero of my musical world! No one composes as beautifully as this Norwegian New Age Music composer and musician. HE has the key to my soul! :-)
It's strange how something or someone calls to your soul, isn't it? And what better way than to do it through the realm of music? It's afterall the universal language of mankind, is it not?
Hence, the Secret Garden is where I dwell. It is one of the best modern music where music is truly music and not just sounds or shouts! Music that relaxes the soul & enriched the being.
What can I say about Rolf Lovland that the media or wikipedia hasn't already done so? Other than he's a winner (twice) of the Eurovision Song Contest Winning Composers & sharing some of his compositions here coupled with the fact that I attended his and Fionnuala Sherry's concert years ago, I'd be more than happy to hear them perform any time of the day and any day of the year! I wish they were just living next door! :-D
Some of Lovland's famous compositions are:
You Raise Me Up, sung by Josh Groban
Heartstrings, sung by Barbara Streisand
Inside I'm Singing, sung by Elaine Paige
La det Swinge, sung by Bobbysocks!
February Song, sung by Josh Groban
The greatest secret to Lovland's music is probably this. It is everlasting and it shall be a classic one day, if not already. One of the greatest musicians of our time and also highly appreciated by many in the world. The duo may have originated from the faraway lands of Norway and Ireland but they stay close in your heart once you've made contact. It shall never be forgotten and it shall be the salvation to one's soul. A reason to live in the wonder of this man's musical talent!
Thank you, Rolf Lovland for creating such a beautiful & poetic world within us all!
