Vitas IS Russian, 28, singer, composer and actor. Guess where I found out about him? Yes, in China. No, not Russia but China. He's as famous as any Chinese singer, if not even more so.
Sometimes I'm surprised at the type of music that appeals to audiences from different culture. But then again, perhaps I shouldn't be. Afterall, music transcends language, culture and time (age). It just simply is. The music of Vitas? Well, I love it. Not sure if it's everyone's cup of tea, but to my surprise, many Chinese in mainland China love it too.
