Normally I'm not a fan of musicals (except ones that are slightly dark, morbid, or fantastical) and I loathe most romantic comedies... but I'll tell you a secret: I love Mama Mia! because I'm a sucker for ABBA. Don't tell anyone. ; )
Rain: A Tribute to the Beatles is an amazing show with great music that is fun for kids of all ages. This is not your traditional Broadway show, but it is definitely something worth taking note of. The four musicians who play the band and exceptionally talented and do an amazing job of keeping the audience entertained for a two hour show. Although there is not "real story", the show follows … more
amazing and so much fun. Bebe is amazing and it doesn't get much better than seeing Nathan Lane live on broadway. loved this play and thought Wednesday and Grandma MADE THE PLAY.
completely amazing! the talent the young cast members have is unbelievable and stunning to watch. the boys that play Billy are truly some of the most talented dancers I've ever seen.
If you are in the NYC area, or will be before April 24th I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you take a trip out to a small off-broadway theater to check out this amazing show. Having been an avid Peter Pan fan since a young child, and for some reason seem to be spending my 25th year on a madd hunt following the lost boys around the country, this is one adapted tale that is unlike any that has come before. &nbs … more
Green Day has always been a part of my life. I couldn't tell you exactly when or how they entered my life, but outside of a few close friends and family, their music has been the most consistent thing that exists in my life. They are the one band I always turn to when I need something. Their music has gotten me through good times and bad. It pushed me to achieve goals. It helped me win races. It pumped … more
The Lion King blew me away the first time I saw it (probably around 2005 or so), but after going again recently (fall 2010), I found it slow and tedious in parts. I think this was largely due to seeing it outside of a top tier market the second time. It's a fantastic, must-see for any musical theater fan, but choose your city wisely. Our first experience was … more
I am very interested in seeing this with my daughter. I have not heard any reviews yet, though we both love the music. Was wondering what the members think?

Really fun and rousing performance -- phenomenal songs, great group scenes/songs, fun dancing. Just not sure why they had to add the mean nanny, who wasn't in the film. That was a bummer for being there with a younger child, having expected it to be nearly all up beat.

Lion King blew me away the first time I saw it, but after going again recently (years later), I found it slow and tedious in parts. Costumes are of course stellar, and probably the strongest part of the show.
I really enjoyed this musical adaptation of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Having seen the original film when it came out and remembering many of the famous lines (I'm not dead yet, et al.) I looked forward to introducing my son to the craziness as we took in the Broadway show. We weren't disappointed. Though we did not have any of the original cast, the actors were … more
