1968. - "ALL YOUR CHILDREN ARE POOR UNFORTUNATE VICTIMS OF LIES YOU BELIEVE A PLAGUE UPON YOUR IGNORANCE THAT KEEPS THE YOUNG FROM THE TRUTH THEY DESERVE." So sing Zappa in this fantastic Masterpiece, the melodies are good, the production fantastic, the album is full af Brilliant Ideas both in the music and the words. Zappa pokes fun and cynically criticises both middle class traditional values and also some of the naive idealism of the hippie genaration, in short he lampoons stupidity where ever it is. Zappa once said " Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe. " One of the songs on We´re. . is called What´s the ugliest part of your body and here is a small part from that song which is so good and is typical for his outlook. "What's the ugliest Part of your body? Some say your nose, Some say your toes But I think it's YOUR MIND I think it's your mind, woo woo"
