If you like your science- fiction to be story driven, have a moral message and delight in the shoestring-budget,hokey but remarkably effective special-effects science fiction of the 50's and early 60's you will love this series as much as I do. Best episodes: "The Galaxy Being", Demon with a glass hand","The Guests","Fun and Games","A feasability Study","The Special One","Nightmare","The Children of Spider County","Keeper of the Purple Twilight","Zzzzzzz","The Man who was Never Born","Cry of Silence","The Bellero Shield","Soldier"and "The Inheritors". I admit that I am overlooking the many bad episodes and ranking this series so high because it was my first exposure to Sci-Fi so it holds a special place in my heart. So sue me! At least I'm honest! Seriously though, it was great and way ahead of its time! (Warning: Black & White only)

I used to love this old series too. Not much of a fan of the new version though. Although I do seem to remember seeing one episode way back at the beginning of the new series that I liked. It had something to do with a descendant of JFK's in the failry distant future(obviously now no longer possible) who's recruited to switch places with him right before the assassination, thus taking the bullet for him and moving JFK into the future where the people planning the switch feel he belongs. The descendant is a pretty useless guy but he's still not interested in dying, and it's not until he studies up on his ancient relative that he realizes exactly how worthless he is in comparison and goes along with it. I actually only saw the last 20 minutes of the hour show so I'm piecing this together as best I can.

Not as good as "The Twilight Zone" by an stretch of the imagination. However I watched this show all the time in the '60s and enjoyed it quite a bit. This was the kind of sci-fi I enjoy the most. Thanks for reminding me.
