The Original and still the Best! Classic Science Fiction! Characters so real that you care about and admire them. Stories so well written, produced and directed you feel as if you lived them. Gene Roddenberry was a visionary! He also knew to employ the best writers,actors,directors,designers and technicians his budget would allow. Star Trek was an Amercian science fiction television show created by Gene Roddenberry that aired between 1966 and 1969. It originally aired on NBC and was produced by Desilu. It aired 79 episodes in three seasons.
Though the show was not a huge hit, Star Trek had a huge cult following during its time in syndication, providing enough of a fan base to produce a record breaking five spin-offs (The Animated Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise) as well as eleven motion pictures.
