Oh, Dove. You made me sad today. If only you'd spent as much time on the chocolate as you did on your packaging.

I was lured into spending nearly $5 on a 9.5-ounce bag of your dark chocolates with almonds. I put you in the emergency desk drawer. I turned to you in my time of need. I delicately unwrapped your fancy foil, read the message hidden on the underside of the not-so-eco-friendly packaging, and I took a bite.
And then I waited. I waited for my usual chocolate bliss to wash over me. But I felt nothing. You gave me boring chocolate.
I repeated the experiment enough times to undo my morning workout, and still, nothing.
So I can't recommend you to my friends. I won't be buying another bag.
I think you know you've done something bad, too. I can't find this product listed on your Web site. I found you listed online here.
You call your little messages on the wrappers "promises." Well, you promised you would always be good to me, and you lied. I unwrapped another to ask you why, and the message read "why not?"

I don't hate Doves, but sometimes they can be a bit chalky. Also, they're more sugar-and-cream heavy than most chocolate. Gimme the cacao!
