This is when the Dragon Ball franchise hit an all time low. I was actually looking forward to this follow up, because the animation did see some progress. But it was the stories and the characters that sunk this one. This series actually got worse as it went on with some terrible action scenes. I mean there was just nothing here I could say I liked, and the Lost Episodes were even worse.

Didn't get into this one as much, of course Vegeta [what little it seemed like there was] wa sthe only reason I watched it.

And he was damn near a non factor there too. I really didn't like the characters who were focused on in that, plus Gohan, Goten, and Trunks really sucked.

I know man I can't stand it, and of those three I like Trunks enough being Vegeta's kid and all. Plus the future version of him if the Andriods would have not been beaten was great.

Well, I heard (and mind you it's been at least a decade or more) that the series started to go downhill after Akira Toriyama stopped writing it and handed over production to...whoever. So, because of the popularity, artistic integrity gave way to making it a cash cow, so to speak. I think I watched a few episodes of GT, but never followed through because I started getting bored toward the end of Z. I don't seriously understand why anyone thinks making a series run for so long with so many episodes is ever a good idea.

You heard correctly, because that's exactly what happened. The anime stretched pass Toriyama's intended length, and this actually hurt the series in the long run. But for some, DBZ could have been even longer. You're not missing anything with GT though. It's very poorly written even by DBZ standards. I cringed the entire time during this. It's that bad as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah. At first with Z I thought it was just awesome, but started to get tired of the super long fight scenes. And I really couldn't take any more space travel and facing off against hostile native creatures and such while looking for the Dragonballs. Although, I shouldn't be so negative really. DBZ and CN are how I became an anime fan in the first place. Good thing they picked up more, better shows. I've heard that Adult Swim hardly shows anime anymore, which makes me kinda sad even though I don't stay up that late anymore. Last thing I heard they were running was FMA: Brotherhood.

This became silly. To what did Vegeta elevate his powers to? reached Saiyan 3?

Vegeta skipped 3 altogether and went to 4. And as usual, he reached a new level only to become a joke again. This chapter of the series was very poorly written.
