Look at the light and it controls you. The city is under attack by aliens. And it is GROSS! You’ve a replay of the ALIEN except that they now “reside” in the city and swallow up any human in their paths! Slimy king kongs, that’s what they are.
It’s a movie that shows human misplaced trust in the unknown until they are proved otherwise. When under attack, the occupants in an L.A. apartment have only one choice, to run for their lives. And what makes a movie thrilling is our innate instinct for survival. So, after 30 mins of watching it, I have the feeling the director is simply using a few actors in keeping the audience tense as to when the next time the alien will appear and strike. The need to survive means running for one’s lives despite everything, until one gets tired of running, that is…
It’s certainly no Independent Day. The military came but did nothing much to save the day (those nighthawks look like toy machine in this movie, LOL...). It got very bloody and those aliens became VERY aggressive. There are just too many of them and humans became so helpless (& tiny; reminds me of how stupid power struggles could be… be it corporate or nation) amidst their onslaughts.
The world is under attack, MASSIVE! L.A., New York, Vegas, Hong Kong, everywhere…

And then it gotten even more ridiculous… these Aliens feed on human brains and after taking over one of these brains they became another alien with a memory or may be instinct of the humans! What the F#?k! It is almost as bad as Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds (without the kid screaming her lungs off, that is)! ;-)
