Would have been a fantastic show overall if not for that slut M.I.A. Still, at 53, Madonna was still entertaining and the show had some good moments. Recommend checking it out on youtube whenever you get the chance.

I liked the show over all I guess.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
It was cool. By the way. Heard Nicki Minaj diss to Lil' Kim? I just linked it to Sam underneath you.
FM_ALEXFebruary 07, 2012
Yeah man those two have been going at it for a while, you heard Kim's shot at her called "Black Friday", if not here ya go "Black Friday". Kim started all this because she thinks Nicki stole the barbi gimmick from her.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
All Lil' Kim hate aside, that diss is wack for many reasons. She makes the same mistake LL did against Canibus, she focused more on her status than on her target, plus her punchlines were weak. Nicki has this in the bag, I just hope she smashes her.
FM_ALEXFebruary 07, 2012
SPOT ON man, I was thinking the same thing. I don't dislike Kim or anything but Nicki is smashing her. And as far as LL goes, all the people who thought he won because he was screaming louder on his track or something are the same kind of people who are on the Em thing we were talking about. Just on the mainstreams dick.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
Oh the LL thing was indeed dick riding. He started out pretty strong, and the whole damn diss went to hell quick. When veteran rappers go on about their status, you know they lost the spark for battle. These are two damn good diss emcees; Royce and Masta Ace. The former loves the battle and he takes joy in whippin' your ass. The latter would vaporize you really quick sticking to the point.

Oh man both of those dudes are vicious, have you heard Crooked I, that dude is a monster. Been listening to him since he first dropped on C-Style's 19th Street label back in the day. Him, Royce, Joell Ortiz, and Joe Budden are nasty as Slaughterhouse. Basically the new 4 Horsemen, who of course are another group of guys I LOVE [Kurupt of course, Canibus, Ras Kass, and Killah Priest] as you know.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
Oh of course I know him, and he meshed perfectly with the rest of Slaughterhouse. Those are all some vicious emcees there. Rass Kass tossed out a very subliminal, yet devestating diss to Jeru the Damaju. Another monster is Yukmouth.
FM_ALEXFebruary 07, 2012
What track was that diss on? and also I am so happy I am not the only one who thinks Yukmouth is a beast. You ever heard Kurupt's little brother Roscoe, that dude is nasty. Check this video out, every time Roscoe gets on there [four times I think] he kills it, especially the second and third time, you can see Kurupt in the background proud as fuck. ROSOCE
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
I'm familiar with Roscoe, I have his first album but I don't think he's as lyrical as his brother. Kurupt shouts out West Coast, but his East Coast influence is obviously there.
It could be me reading way too deep into it; but on Jeru's track Come Clean, he takes a lot of shots at the west and the gangsta rap culture, which I'm sure you noticed. Rass defends the west in Sonset and takes numerous shots at the East, but I noticed how in Come Clean Jeru likens his skills to martial artist and styles, I find it ironic how Rass does the same thing, and there are other smaller details there which leads me to believe that Come Clean motivated Sonset about the same as the East Coast lyrical arrogance.
LOL...THAT'S who that was, I was wondering who the other chick was lol. That goes to show you that she doesn't have that much influence. Madonna was her brilliant self, she looks damn good for 53, too.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
Yeah, MIA supposedly has an album dropping soon, but that move could have been to those who planned on referring to her as a sell out. The other chick was Nicki Minaj, and on a side note, she kicked out a vicious diss on Lil' Kim, I mean those are some body bangin' bars. Not sure if you heard it, it's right here.
But as for the show, I thought Madonna looked great, and she moves just fine for someone at that age.
djevokeFebruary 07, 2012
Yeah, I knew it was Nicki and I've heard that diss before. She has quite a few, I think, and I love them because her rap style is so much fresher than Kim's. I thought it was really smart of Madonna to include top 40 artists in her performance.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
Am I dreaming or does it seem like Lil' Kim has to beef with every female artist? I'm looking forward to Nicki's next album and I hope she smashes the hell out of Kim. Someone needs to bring that bitch back down to Earth, and remind her that her most lyrical lines ever came from someone else's hand. She is so over-rated and damn irritating.
It was smart for Madonna to mae that move, but she could have picked a better girl. Don't know who. But someone other than chick.
djevokeFebruary 07, 2012
Well, not EVERY female artist... Lil Kim hasn't made an album since 2005. Rumor has it that she has one coming out this year. Kim needs to start focusing on paying her taxes instead of hating on everyone lol.
Check out what the other femcees are saying about it (Trina, Rah, Missy)...I agree with them except for when Trina said that Lil Kim opened the doors for them, that's not true unless you're raunchy! Females in hip-hop have it hard as it is so we don't need all this hate, there's no room for it.
MadpenguinFebruary 07, 2012
Only the ones with some serious buzz. I noticed she left Jean Grae alone, lyrically, that was a smart move. I heard something about an album dropping, and that could be why she's doing this. I didn't see that link before, I'll check it out right now. I don't think it's true even if you are raunchy. I think HWA were doing the whole raunchy thing first.
djevokeFebruary 07, 2012
I forgot about the Hoes! You're right. Could you imagine if she went against Jean Grae? Now that would be a battle I'd want to see.
MadpenguinFebruary 08, 2012
Yeah, I would like to see that battle too. Just so Jean could massacre her silly ass.
djevokeFebruary 08, 2012
Exactamundo...how do we get that to happen? Hmmm...maybe on Twitter? LOL...Since Jean is like Kweli and married to Twitter!
MadpenguinFebruary 08, 2012
I have a twitter account, but I haven't logged in months. I just don't see the point to it for me.
djevokeFebruary 09, 2012
I'm the same way except I just applied to them, so I've been a lot more active lately lol
The show was good for what it was. She has so many hit songs and we only got a snippet of her repetoire. I thought Madonna lipsynched the first number but it was still good.
MadpenguinFebruary 06, 2012
Yeah, perhaps next time if they get her again she should do away with those with sloppy reps.
This committed liberal has just become a Tea Party convert more conservative than Elmer Fudd. Yes, I’m talking about the half-time disgrace of Super Bowel XLVI featuring a panting 53-year-old who’s sell-by-date expired 20 years ago. When she did those middle-aged squats I could hear her knees crack. And who ever heard of Mathangi Arulpragasam? Sounded foreign to me. She proved she was either a foreigner or a liberal when she gave the bird to us tax-paying, hard working, honest Americans. … more
