Where Evil Rules

Fassbinder took the German nightmare and made art from it.  This one is set in 1955, when amnesia about the Nazi past has set in. People are trying to forget they even have a Nazi past. In the melodrama, an evil psychiatrist takes advantage of the moment by preying on a washed-up Nazi era film star.  It's an ugly story, but powerful...as hell.
