Over the years people have begun to notice the Velvet Underground. One of the band's most proficient and productive member happens to be the most forgotten one. Yule replaced John Cale after the release of White Light/White Heat.

Played and co-wrote material on the Velvet Underground albums The Velvet Underground, Loaded and Squeeze.

Toured with Lou Reed during the Sally Can't Dance promotional tour. He also played bass on the song "Billy". He also imitated Lou Reed for one show due to Reed's "exhaustion".
