I'm not one who is easily offended, and I actually like people who are blunt about everything. So when I first heard Joan Rivers giving her two cents after some awards show, I fell in love. Joan Rivers (born Joan Alexandra Molinsky) is an American celebrity, comedian, talk show host, and business woman. She is also the National Chairwoman of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is a board member of God's Love We Deliver.

Rivers was born June 8, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York. In 1950, she set off for college and eventually earned a B.A. in English and Anthropology from Barnard College in 1954. As she grew older, Joan worked as a fashion consultant and began making occasional TV appearances as a comedian and later co-hosted many late night TV shows in the US.

In 1986, Rivers was given her own talk show, The Late Night Show with Joan Rivers. The show aired on Fox and lasted for only a year. Later, she continued to guest host and even had her own series on the TV Guide Channel.

Today, Rivers occasionally makes cameo appearances in numerous TV programs. She is best known for her thick New York accent, loud and raspy voice, and brash manner.
