i met him both at his one-man Shakesphere performances at the New York Public Library and several Dark Shadows conventions. His unfortunate feud with Jim Piersson kept him away for many years but he returned and thankfully got a cameo in the upcoming Dark Shadows film.

I never knew that there was "bad blood" (pardon the pun) between them. Do you know what that was all about?

I don't know what happened. Frid's last DSFest was in 1990 then he didn't show up in 91 and for several Fests after. It may have something to do with Frid not having a part in the 91 series as Piersson was a major player in that series. I tried to find out why from the people involved with the Fest and they said it was because Frid had a major disagreement with Pierrson.
