Kermit's awesome - what is he thinking with Miss Piggy?

He's a frog and she's a pig.  That just makes no sense, but that's not why I like Kermit.

Kermit is the straight "guy" in nearly every muppet thing, but he's awesome.  Funny in a straight guy way.  But he's in love with an egocentric female pig?  How does that make any sense at all?

Kermit T Frog, Reporter, is my favorite Muppet sketch, and Kermit the Frog is definitely my favorite core Muppet character.  He's the funny, smart one who's always slightly frustrated with the other characters.  He's easy to empathize with, which makes him so likable to me.  On those days at work when I think that the people I work with are all nuts and chaos reigns free - those are the days I feel for Kermit, he's in the same place with all the crazies he works with too.

Thinking about Kermit makes me feel good even on those not so great days.

Thank you, Jim Henson, for creating Kermit.

Nice review. I'm a big fan of Kermit and "The Rainbow Connection". One of my favorite songs!

There's a wonderful filk song called "A boy and His Frog" that's a tribute to Henson and his most famous creation. Everytime I play it I can't help but cry.

Hi Carol! Nice take on Kermit the Frog! @lingeatscake is also a fan of PBS classics and has a review on Arthur. Sesame Street also gets a lot of love here at Lunch with its high ratings.  I miss these shows!
