I have dined at the Boston and Burlington (MA) locations as well as Winter Park in Florida. I have also attempted to dine at the Peabody location - unsuccessfully (the wait was ridiculous). It started on a positive note about 10 years ago when they had more staff and less visitors, as that ratio started changing - so has my opinion of them. Now I will only go there for two reasons:

a) To get my fix of Avocado Spring Rolls
b) To use a gift card I received

Even then I would rather do takeout and not wait for a table for 2 hours. It boggles me why so many people keep coming back here - must be the cheesecake. Or do they all have gift cards?

Their food is good, I'll admit, but just as with all chain restaurants you never really know what is in you meal, where the ingredients came from, and how it was prepared. The Avocado Spring Rolls though I have to admit are to die for, at least for my taste buds. I am a fan of avocado in general, but the way they prepare these is soooo good! I don't remember all the ingredients, but the avocado mixed with roasted red peppers and with that yummy unusual pesto sauce, wow, what a combination! You have to go there at least once just to try those.

love em
There aren't any CF in BC where I live, so my first taste was in Vegas. The line up was crazy long but that's what attracted us. It MUST be good if the line is so long, right? And true enough, it was indeed good. I think the key here is reasonable prices and relatively nice atmosphere. It's like a step up from a family oriented restaurant.      Tried a chicken pasta (yummy) and shared the white chocolate cheesecake and some kind of caramel one too. I have been to …

So, in contrast to some of the other reviews I really like the Cheesecake Factory. I like the fact that they have a long menu that includes different types of food. ¬†Whatever mood I am in I can always find something that takes my fancy. Its not supposed to be gourmet dining but I think the food is really good. I don't think I have ever had anything I didn't like, nor did my fellow diners. I have never had a problem with service and the wait staff have always been very amiable. As for the cheesecake …

Cheesecake is my favorite desert, but I really don't like The Cheesecake Factory. The restaurant is always clean and seems to be run well, but it includes several factors that I really don't like.  I'm forced into this restaurant once or twice a year when someone is celebrating something and I don't enjoy it each time. I normally visit the restaurant on University Ave in Palo Alto, California - but they are all consistently the same.    How can a restaurant have advertisements …

Food costs are rising. A meal at Morton's is now $200 without wine. P F Chang's is shrinking their portion sizes to keep up. Even a McBreakfast doesn't leave much change out of $5, yet the Fed tells us inflation's under control. Really Ben Bernanke? Really? And when was the last time anyone had a payrise?  Well, in the same way that thinking about kittens pushing around balls of wool brings a child-like smile to your face, Cheesecake Factory has the capacity to lift us above he banal-yet-important …

Dessert chains totally gross me out. Why do we need 70 kinds of cheesecake?!

I frequented the Sacramento restaurant often when I was a student at UC Davis - mostly for friend's birthday dinners. They give you free bread (which is amazing BTW), we'd ordered some mojitos and one entree each... however our entree rarely got touched since it was more of a social environment and we just drank cocktails and ate the bread.    I've only tried the pastas and salads here - and the first thing I have to say about them is that the portions are ridiculous.  Realistically, …
