Luke grew up in the mountains of North Georgia and you can tell through his music that country and southern rock have played a role in his life.  At the age of eleven, Luke began making his way to clubs to listen to other musicians play! By the age of 15, he had written and recording a whole album with his band Last November.  The band toured across the country for almost a decade.  In 2010, he headed back to Atlanta to pay tribute to his country roots.  Luke has said that the album "is perfect for storyteller lyrics."  The storytelling on this CD definitely puts the album into the country genre.

"Luke Pilgrim" is a CD with simple instruments to allow for Luke's songwriting and singing skills to be displayed.  This album is like a book; each song representing another chapter.  Whether talking about his failure to find romance like in "I Hope You Call" or his family life like "You and Me", Luke is able to portray what is on his mind.  This CD definitely has a country vibe to it and is helping to return country music to its roots.  This CD can be enjoyed by people of all ages due to his simple lyrics and great vocals.  It was hard to pick just a couple songs to write about, but here is a little more about a couple songs.
  • "Y Chromosome Cliche" - The album has a great start with this song.  It focuses on all the cliches that women associate with us guys when you see us!  "I'm a fool, I'm a mess, I'm a drunk" and "Mouth like a sailor" are just some of the lyrics that Luke provides.  This song has a joking feel and is just a great feel good song.
  • "Sweat Tea" - is not a song about a beverage, instead it is a song about Luke's childhood.  It talks about how many view his town as paradise, but he just calls it home.  The song focuses on everything that makes Luke, Luke!  It has all of the things that have influenced his childhood and more!  WARNING: The chorus of this song will be stuck in your head after just a few plays!
Be sure to download this CD while it is free!  This deal won't last long!
