Why write at HubPages?

  • Dec 16, 2008

I have been on many different writers sites - Helium, Squidoo, Print N'Post just to name a few. I finally settled in and made HubPages my writers platform.
I have been a small business owner for over 20 years, and I was in charge of our franchise branding, public relations, advertising and networking within the community. One of the key things I learned about business is that it's not necessarily what you know but WHO YOU KNOW ( a very wise businesswoman once shared this with me)
So when I got to Hubpages I could see that the writers there were not only top notch but very friendly, and willing to share their knowledge and experience. "Hubbers" I have found, are a unique breed of writers- excellent writers who are on the cutting edge of internet technology who use their wide personal and life experiences and knowledge to write to the world.
It was an easy place for me to be comfortable, and as my writing career progresses I know I have the support of my fellow writers and friends that I have made at HubPages. Not to forget that the Hubber platform is easy to navigate and interact with, but the best part will always be the people there!
This is the main reason I love writing at Hubpages!

About this author

HubPages is an online writers community where writers and aspiring writers can write on just about any subject, and also make money while they do it. Affiliate programs such as Kontera, Amazon, EBay and Google can be added to a writers publisher account and writers get paid by the number of "clicks" on their "hubs" which are basically individual web pages. "Hubbers" are scored by their content, originality, forum participation and use of the site. Feedback is available for writers wanting more "critiques" of their work.

HubPages is a website designed around sharing advertising revenue for high-quality, user-generated content. The interface resembles predecessors like Squidoo, allowing members to create individual pages on narrow topics of general interest. HubPages differs from other blog networking sites by using the Google AdSense API to manage revenue-sharing with writers.[1][2]
