Really disappointed!! After reading the Wizards First Rule I was a fan. But!!! Then came the other books where I just wanted Richard to become a bad ass wizard but he always came up short of my expectations. I get the whole idea of the balance between good and evil but, i got the feeling that Terry Goodkind was using the books as a vehicle to transport his free will - atheistic view. I mean really you have the fanatics on one side. The followers of the Creator. Then you have the Dark Side. The followers of the Keeper. Then you have Richard who believes no one has a claim to your property or life. Wait a minute he just made millions of dollars propelling Ayn Rands philosophy called objectivism. Yea have you read the Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged or Anthem? I liked the first book!
Man I felt cheated as the series went on. Any body who has read I mean really read them felt the same I am sure!!! Maybe not. I really don't care.
Another thing I am an atheist. So I am not taking some stance against him for his beliefs. I just think no one should recommend his books to some one who hasn't taken that first hit. Cuz you know they are never going to get there they are just going to end up chasing the high and end a bitter dog like me. So if you are a Terry Goodkind fan then you are mindless and you should read warning labels on cigarette packs because you would probably be equally entertained. Ruff!
