Delightful Children's Book.

Several weeks before Christmas, the family is in the car and visiting folks from different states. From Grandma in L.A. to Cousin Ben in North Carolina, they zigzag across the country enjoying each family's tradition. With beautiful illustrations and catchy rhymes, this book is sure to be a hit this Christmas.

I'm a fan of the multipurpose children's book. First and foremost, my kids enjoyed this cute story. It's good for pre-readers as well as new readers. It's educational and provides a nice map of the US for kids to follow the family's travels. It touches on Jesus' birth and some of the different ways Christians celebrate Christmas. More than anything, it highlights the joy of family and being with them during the holidays. By the time the book ends, these kids have wonderful Christmas memories that aren't about presents.

This is certainly a delightful book and one that will stay on my shelf. At ages 6 and 8 my kids have almost outgrown it, but for the next couple of years I'm sure it'll get plenty of use.

A little bit about me. I read primarily Christian fiction. My favorites are suspense, with supernatural elements always being a plus. I most enjoy books that will keep me thinking well after I'm done … more

About this book

Wiki

The text has a strong Evangelical Christian slant, with many references to Jesus and the Nativity story as well as praying 'that Christ's love spreads to all of the nations!' Bright illustrations in deep hues depict the crowd of relatives and the family's trusty station wagon buzzing along from state to state. -- Kirkus Review (Kirkus Review)
