The classic "A Christmas Carol" by Dickens needs no introduction and certainly needs no additional laudatory comments. It is without question the best secular story of Christmas ever written. This version by Hallmark is beautifully constructed; the binding and the gold edging on the pages make it an ideal physical Christmas gift. It is also the perfect gift for the spirit of Christmas, the story of Scrooge and his enlightenment is certainly one that will never grow old or be subject to any malady of cultural rot.

Drawing from the yule mythologies far older than the time of Jesus, Dickens creates the true meaning and purpose of the yule spirit. Reread it each year; you'll find something a little different each time.

This is a classic. Great story. I love how he is taken through his life from his past all the way to his future and made to see how awfully greedy he's been, which makes him realize that he's better off being nice.
