This book made me think alot about how drug addicts are percieved as these people who are lost and just out of their minds. People look down on them because they are addicted. This book gave an indepth look at how someone's mind works when they are on drugs. It has become very clear that drugs make you think and do very strange things.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the topic or maybe just are curioius. This book will leave you wanting more and wanting to learn more.
The setting is at a rehab for the most part. There are other addicts all around that are constantly in the story sometimes agrivating the main character. The rehab is off the beaten path and away from the city where the main character is from.
The stpry is basically a personal account of what it feels like to be on drugs and go through rehab. It is written very free form with half sentences and thoughts. Not always in sentence form. It starts out with the MC in the city and in trouble... he goes to rehab and goes through so many ups and downs and experiences so many different emotions about himself, his family, and a love interest.
THis book is a little difficult to read at first because of the structure and format, but once you get into it, it is well worth it
