Prince, fresh out of prison decides to reclaim what's his and builds a criminal empire. Unfortunately, like all of Donald Goines anti-heroes, the bigger they are the harder they fall. Prince learns that true friends are hard to keep and they're never around. Donald Goines experiences in prison and hustling out in the streets gave the book a lot of credibility and realism. If you want to read a gritty crime novel filled with realistic dialog and three-dimensional characters then you'll want to check out Black Gangster.
